5 Star view, 5 star position, 2 star interior
Fantastic position and view. The house is virtually on the beach. Sea views from the lounge and the master bedroom.
It's a shame the interior does not live up to the position and views. The lounge is good but the kitchen floor is a cheap type of covering that is all rucked up. The kitchen utensils have all seen better days. The frying pan is covered in scratches and must be 10 years old! There is no bread knife and the other knives are all blunt. Some of the glasses have so many dishwasher stains that they are opaque.
The floor in the main bathroom is the same material as the kitchen and is full of mould.
The en-suite bathroom is great but there are no shelves to put anything on so all the usual bathroom creams and perfumes and aftershaves and all the other stuff has to be put on the floor
These are very easily rectifiable problems and would probably only cost about £500 to put right. Less than 1 weeks rental cost!!
It just seems a shame that such a superb positioned flat has a really cheap interior.
Ramsgate itself is great with a fantastic beach. If you are a dog owner, go to "Miles Restaurant". It does excellent food at a good price and they allow dogs in!!
Would I go back? If the kitchen and bathroom flooring was changed, I would book again tomorrow!! And please put a shelf in the bathroom! I am happy to bring my own bread knife!!
This beautiful property is situated on Ramsgate Sands, just steps from the beach, this really is a one off location. With the doors open you can listen to the sound of the sea, proven to help you relax and even sleep better!
Thanet is renowned for the quality of its beaches, and Ramsgate has some of the best in the area. Ramsgate Main Sands, situated a stone’s throw from the Royal Harbour, has been awarded a Blue Flag – a tribute to the cleanliness of its water, its safety record and its range of facilities. Hire out a deckchair and dig your toes into the soft sand.
On the seafront you will find Ramsgate Marina and the Royal Harbour. The area, surrounded by stunning Georgian and Victorian architecture, is a hive of activity.
After all this activity, sit back and embrace Ramsgate’s café culture. Relax in one of the sea-facing cafés or restaurants, watching the boats come and go in the marina and admiring the skies that J.M.W Turner described as the loveliest in all of Europe.
