Daniella was so pleasant to deal with, the flat was as it appears in pictures. Lots of character, secure and in close walking distance to some major Florence attractions! I highly recommend, and would definitely return!
The antique furnishings were lovely and we loved the espresso maker. It was an attractive place that was convenient to all the places we wanted to go.
A wonderful experience. Daniela was over the top. A great location also
It is everything everyone has stated. Perfectly located, especially if you want to experience a Florentine neighborhood while still walking distance to all of the sights. Daniela was always responsive to questions and was especially helpful in locating groceries and a tour company.
The apartment is very comfortable for one or two people and quite close to the Duomo, which is a great reference when getting to know the city on foot. This was a business trip and I felt that I had plenty of space to work and only heard street noise here and there in the early evening.
The furnishings are lovely and comfortable, and everything you might want is available. If you want direct sunlight and views this is not for you, but the owner is extremely kind and responsive to any questions you may have.
I would certainly stay here again.
I had the good fortune to spend 11 lovely days in Florence and this apartment was perfect! A 10 or 15 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station and walking distance to just about about everything else. Right around the corner from the Duomo. The apartment was immaculate and Daniela (the owner) has a desk with maps, brochures and current info about what is happening in the city. There is not a full kitchen but there are hot plates and pots and pans if you really want to cook for yourself. With all of the great restaurants nearby you probably won't want to. Cibreo is one restaurant that Daniela recommended to me and it was wonderful. There is a laundry mat around the corner as well. I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Daniela!
The apartment is located in the lively neighborhood of Sant'Ambrogio considered one of the most livable city. From this area there is only a ten minute walk from all the main monuments, squares and museums. And yet, due to its location just outside of the most visited by tourists, has not been invaded by mass tourism.
Along the streets of Sant'Ambrogio you can still find many 'real Florentines' who walk, go shopping or semplicementechiacchierano on the stairs of a church, on a bench, to the market, or in the narrow streets that only they know. Almost all roads in the area are closed to traffic and this makes the neighborhood more attractive to tourists and residents. One of the most representative monuments of the district is the beautiful synagogue in Via Farini, built in 1882 by the Jewish community of Florence. Also interesting is the simple and harmonious Sant'Ambrogio Church, located in the liveliest square and that is the heart of the neighborhood with its trendy bars, typical restaurants and wine bars, and the famous outdoor market where to find local products or enjoy a glass of local wine.
Noteworthy is the Antiques market that is located in Piazza dei Ciompi, where you can find special and objects typical Florentine.
In the district of St. Ambrose is the most famous restaurant in the city of Florence, Cibreo, where you can taste traditional dishes revisited with care and refinement by Chef Picchi.
