Cavendish Property Management was established in 1986, covering the Kent coast from Ramsgate to Folkestone. The business was expanded some years later to include the Marina Alta area of the Costa Blanca.
The current owners bought and renovated this country farmhouse from 2004 because they wanted to live in the campo but still close by all amenities. This is a very quiet location but with easy access to plenty going on around . It is close to the main highway to get to places like Benidorm and Ondara shopping and cinema centre., and many other attractions within 30m to 1 hr drive away. You can walk out directly into beautiful countryside, with the backdrop of Montgo mountain. There are chickens and a fruit garden of oranges apples, pears , peach , figs.
This house was originally an old farm house over 100 years old with a hay loft ( the second upstairs bedroom ) and cattle keep in the courtyard and 2 wells . An eco house with 2 wells and solar panels, underfloor heating, backed up in winter with a wood burner; great for winter lets for a very spacious house with low costs. Solar pool heating to extend the swimming season.
There is a filter system for drinking water and a solar shower for after swimming.
A good area for cycling , and walking - a great time to take a walk is on light spring and summer evenings.
We had a perfect stay at the Finca , it is so spacious, clean and modern . The pool and grounds are amazing , we especially loved feeding the pigs and chickens👍𣐠Gary & Karen were on hand for any questions we had and there was also lots of helpful local info in the villa. We will be back 😊
We all had a fantastic stay at finca de la rana. The villa was clean, modern and well kept. Karen and Gary did some shopping for us so we had supplies in as we didn't arrive until late on the Saturday and we had 5 kids in our group who were hungry! Gary came by the next day with fresh bread and local treats from the market, he was very friendly and was always available to help us in any way (even ordering us some paella from his local restaurant/bar for us to pick up). The views were spectacular with the Montgo mountains behind us and vinyards in front, the nearest house you could see was a few hundred yards away. The kids loved the two pigs and two chickens and we collected fresh eggs every day and picked oranges from the groves and made fresh juice to drink as well as feeding the pigs our food scraps! The pool was big and Gary came by every other day to make sure it was clean and the kids used the trampoline every day. The villa was a 10 minute drive to the old town and 15 minute drive to the beach down one local road. We have stayed in Javea 3 years in a row now and this was the furthest out of town we have stayed, but it was worth the extra driving for the the peace and quiet and very large villa and gardens and living space compared to a smaller plot nearer the sea! I would definately recommend this villa, usually we find the pictures look better than the villa is when you get there, but this time we were pleasantly surprised that the villa was nicer than the pictures. Thanks Karen and Gary x
The villa exceeded all expectations. Gary (owner) was extremely helpful in all ways. We went as a party of seven ranging from 70 to 2. The accommodation and grounds were beautifully maintained. The children very much enjoyed feeding the pigs and hens. The villa is remote but remains within easy reach of Javea and local supermarkets. We would definitely recommend this villa and will be back
A very comfortable home in a private location surrounded by orange groves to which we very much hope to return. The house and grounds were every bit as pleasant as pictured. High ceilings, cool stone floors, a spacious common area and bright kitchen. Bedrooms & bathrooms are clean and attractive. Beds have comfortable mattresses. Ceiling fans circulate the air and help keep rooms cool on warm evenings. Off the master bedroom there is a pleasant veranda where we enjoyed taking in the morning sun. The pool is clean & lovely with an elevated view of the grounds. The spacious covered patio is a luxurious shelter from the sun and spot for drinks & meals. We made frequent use of the BBQ with spacious prep area situated nearby. Xabia & Denia nearby are attractive beach towns with a lovely drive in between, though we often found it more enjoyable to pass the hours by the pool. At one end of the extensive grounds is a fenced-off area where we discovered two chickens & two miniature pigs, who we enjoyed feeding & watching interact with each other. Owners Gary & Karen are quite friendly and were responsive re any questions & requests. The Saturday morning market in nearby Pedreguer was bustling and well-stocked. The Sunday morning flee market 15-20 minutes north in Barranquet stretched for at least a kilometer along the roadside. (It extends north along the N-332a aka Avenue Valencia from the junction/roundabout with the CV-700). An updated list of local markets with time & location would be helpful. Definitely one our best cottage rental experiences.
We would highly recommend this property. We chose it because of the outside space since we never spend much time indoors when we are on holiday and it did not disappoint. Well equipped with everything that you would need for a great holiday. Lots of toys and activities to keep the children (7 and 8 years old) occupied - including feeding the 2 hens and 2 micro pigs. Gary and Karen were friendly and helpful. Hoping to return soon.
Our party was made up of my parents, my partner and our 3 children, with age ranges from 6-11. As soon as we arrived we knew we had chosen the right place.
The kids had so much space to play with an abundance of toys/games/eqpt provided at the villa. They fell in love with the 2 chickens who they fed every day and played with.
The pool is ideally located close to the entrance door giving peace of mind as someone can always have an eye on the children whilst they are playing in the pool.
Inside there is plenty of space within the bedrooms, kitchen is very well equipped and there's a toy cupboard with plenty of toys, games books, dvds etc
Its located about a 10-15 minute drive from the Arenal beach which is beautiful and full of plenty shops/bars/restaurants.
The owners, Gary & Karen, were a great help, Gary even gave us a lift into town when we were going out for a few drinks.
Been to several villas in Spain over the past few years and this by far our favourite.
Would definitely recommend :) :)
Javea (also known as Xabia) is a gem of a town situated on the Northern Costa Blanca. It's rugged coastline is indented with secluded coves and sandy beaches. These hidden caves and bays were once used by pirates and smugglers in the Middle Ages but are now used by sunbathers, snorkellers and scuba divers.
Javea is situated on the most easterly point of mainland Spain about 100 km from Valencia and 90 km from Alicante.
Javea has been voted environmentally near perfect by the World Health Organization and boasts 320 days of sunshine a year.
A very popular part of Javea is the Arenal's main sandy beach, perfect for bucket and spade lovers. The waters are shallow and very safe for bathers. Many of the beaches have been awarded the 'blue flag' for being particularly clean and well maintained. A host of restaurants and bars is located along the entire length of the Arenal. In the summer evenings you can enjoy visiting the many stalls that are erected on the promenade--e.g silver jewellery, local paintings, leather
It is possible to hire out windsurf and motor boats, jet skis , pedalos, canoes from Javea main beach and windsurfers on the stony shores closer to the port of javea. There are guided jet ski tours that go as far as Benidorm ,or at least close - but exploring the rocky coastline , and secluded beaches and caves is really fantastic- the scenery is awesome. There is a cable water ski in Benidorm, a 30 minute drive ,which is great fun for new and experienced water skiers .
The sea is generally calm and fairly flat , but when the sea gets up ,surfers appear and you can buy body boards quite cheaply -that's fun.
Walking and cycling -there are many established walks and cycle routes. Info on these is in the villa or at tourist offices and on large maps by the beach.
Visiting other towns and markets . Each town has market day and there some interesting antique markets in Jalon and Jesus Pobre
Golf- there are 2 golf clubs nearby . The Javea golf club requires proof of handicap, and La Sella is on the way to Denia at the Marriot golf resort.
