Beautiful lake-centric home perfect for large families or executive retreats. Unique design with two-story wall of glass for exceptional lake views. Massive multi-level deck with screen room. Jacuzzi.
Wooded walkway from deck to double-slip covered dock. This is one of the largest homes on the lake - each of the 7 bedrooms has private baths. Additionally there are two separate loft areas, one with four twin beds, the other with two twin beds.
The property is convenient to I85, just 5 miles off either exit 173 or exit 177. A public boat ramp is located within 1 mile of the home.
The pictures speak for themselves - it doesn't get any better than this!
It really should begin with the professionalism and friendliness of owner in prompt responses to early ? we had when making reservations. Second, the absolute best neighbor, Ted, who oversees your stay, is very helpful and well represents owner. The property is STUNNING. We've rented a house every year (10 years) for our family trips in different states and locations and this property and its amenities inside and out would definitely be in our top 3. Will definitely share details with others. Thank you Steve Blackmon, owner, for such a fantastic place to share and create new memories!
My son got married. It is the duty of the male's family to have a feast and party. We had some food catered but we prepared some foods as well. The house accommodated us and exceeded our expectations. The service from the property caretaker was engaging and exceptional. He provided instructions that seemed complicated at first but we followed them without difficulties. The house was spacious, relaxing scenery, with activities galore. It rained a few nights, we played games and hung out on the screened porch. We had fun in a tree swing and boats that accommodated adult weights. We went shopping in town which was a 15 minute drive. The house came with a hot tub, a jetted tub in the master bathroom, a variety of tub and shower combinations throughout. There was a game room, two lofts with beds on each, extra towels, blankets, just extra stuff. There are two kitchens that had more stuff, appliances, and candy - my grandchildren really enjoyed that. At the end of the day, it was a great place that wowed my guests. I also got my refund back within a week. Thanks Steve, definitely looking forward to my next visit
We had a wonderful experience at the Hartwell Manor! Our big family had plenty of room to play games or just lounge around. The view was amazing and the house is beautiful! We enjoyed the paddle boat and canoe and the big swing! The 2 kitchens provided plenty of space to cook our meals. We all enjoyed the big bedrooms each with its on bathroom. We plan to come back!
We love this place! This is our second year, and we have just booked it for year number three. We are a family of seven siblings with some spouses, and our wonderful mother. We celebrate her birthday during our stay. Here's what we love:
* - Every bedroom has a bathroom
* - big enough dining table to seat everyone
* - plenty of cozy area for quiet escape
* - TWO kitchens
* - Expansive windows to bring the outside in
* - Several large decks wtih chairs that overlook the lake and the incredible view
* - Very open floor plan
* - Wonderful master suite - it rocks!
* - Well stocked with essentials and lots of extras
* - there is a feeling of coming into your own home, rather than a rental.
* - When you forget something, you discover that it is here!
* - Nothing is cheap. Everything is top quality.
* - There are tons of amenities - be sure to read the description of the list.
* - It is very clean and well cared for.
* - There are a lot of steps. This is a three story home.
* - The smart oven and stove in the main floor kitchen can sometimes be a little challenging to operate, even with the instruction list.
* - If we could make a suggestion, we would suggest brighter lighting in the kitchen and dining room.
We held our 50th high school class reunion at Hartwell Manor. The seven bedrooms were occupied by classmates 65 to 75 years old from across the country including the states of California and Washington, and British Columbia, Canada. Over the course of the weekend, we hosted almost fifty classmates without coming close to stressing the capacity or amenities at Hartwell Manor. We all agree, it is truly the standard in vacation rental property. Never have we stayed in a vacation rental (and I've been in a few) that was so completely furnished . . . from the expected like linens, television and Wi-Fi, to the unexpected like an assortment of K-cup coffees, Keurig and high-capacity Bunn makers with filters, candy, an assortment of bath products (soaps, shampoos, etc.), paper products (towels, toilet tissue, etc) to last the week, detergent for the kitchen and the laundry, and the list goes on. Amenities that added to the enjoyment of our particular event included a Sonos house wide sound system for our reunion background music and input cables already attached to the common area television that facilitated a background slide show. Two complete kitchens allowed us to dedicate one to classmates with special dietary needs/restrictions and a chest freezer ensured an ice supply with no end. The main kitchen included an induction cooktop (with appropriate cookware), two microwaves and a double oven. Serving the decks (there were three of 'em) were two barbecue grills; one charcoal, one lp gas. There was even a remote Sonos speaker on the screened deck. There are extra chairs and tables, fishing gear, a paddle boat more than stable enough for fishing, a fire pit with log stools, a rope swing, etc., etc., etc.. Queen beds had recently been upgraded to memory foam kings, recliners added to some of the bedrooms, the list is almost endless. Best of all was an on-site property manager backed by a responsive owner, both of whom were always available to ensure a trouble-free stay. One could pay far more (I have) for far less but value wise you'll be hard pressed to get more for your vacation rental dollar than what you'll find at Hartwell Manor. Thank you, Steve Blackmon, for a memorable 50th class reunion.
This was our 29th annual family reunion, and Hartwell Manor is by far the best house we've ever stayed in! It has everything you could possibly want. With so much space, both indoors and out, we were never in each others' way. Swimming and boating were very popular with the younger generation, while the deck provided the perfect spot for those who just wanted a quite place to read. Can't say enough good things about Steve (owner) and Ted (property manager). When Steve found out that the blender wasn't working, he had a new one sent to us overnight! How many owners would do that??? And Ted stopped by a couple of times to make sure that everything was okay. Fabulous house, great location, fantastic customer service...it just doesn't get any better than this!
