About Caron

We live in a large city and wanted a retreat in an inspiring natural environment. Canaan Valley fit the bill.

Why Caron chose Davis

We selected this lot and built this house in order to take full advantage of what the Canaan Valley area offers; its beautiful cool summers and easy access to golf, rafting, hiking and more, spectacular autumn and spring, and a winter climate unique to the mid-Atlantic providing an extraordinary range of winter fun, including walking to the slopes. Our family has made fantastic memories here.

What makes this house unique

We designed Zeeplace to fit into the natural setting. Whether sitting on a deck or looking out the large windows in the Great Room, the creek and ravine it carved bring out the sites and sounds of nature's beauty.

Peace and quiet with beautiful surroundings

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful place to stay and get away from it all. My family and I have come here about 10 or 12 times in the past 21 years. We like the peace and quiet, the pleasant outdoor surroundings, the fall colors, and hiking the local trails. Our favorite time to visit is in the Spring and the Fall. When the weather is warm, we open the windows to hear the mountain stream cascading over the rocks as it circles 180 degrees around the house.

The house provides all the comforts of home without the stress. It is nicely decorated and well maintained. The stone fireplace works well and the floor to ceiling windows in the great room look into the woods and down to the stream. Unlike many of the homes in this area, Zeeplace has no other homes right next to it. It has the feeling of being by itself on the hill side. These are some the many reasons that we have returned again and again.

I absolutely adored Zeeplace. I was fortunate enough to visit this cozy cabin in both the summer and winter. It is in a perfect location to catch the ski trails or go on an early morning hike to the top. It is nicely decorated and a comfortable home. Zeeplace is perfect for a family getaway or a relaxing trip for two. Whatever you do, don't forget your bathing suit. The hot tub is essential after a long day on the slopes.
