Tal-Magna is located in one of Malta's most beautiful and unspoilt parts of the island, close to Golden Sands beach and the quaint village of Mgarr and small town of Mosta. Approaching Tal-Magna will reveal some of Malta's finest country side commanding an elevated position overlooking the area known as Ghajn Tuffieha. Tal-Magna is a substantial detached Villa/Farmhouse having entrance to a very impressive open hall area, which opens to a large sitting room with log beamed ceilings, wood burning fireplace having patio views to the central court yard; further to the hall entrance you will find a fully equipped country style kitchen, access to an open plan living and dining area, where you can relax watching some TV via a flat screen TV, having access to the central court yard, off the living dining area you will find an enchanting dining room partly carved into the rock, which offers a truly grandeur aspect to dine with a feel of a bygone time. The central court yard offers the perfect area to have morning coffee or tea, displaying the superb architecture of this unique villa/farmhouse.

The first floor is accessed via an internal wide spiral staircase from the living dining area or via external steps from the court yard comprising of 4 bedrooms with double beds, of which 2 double bedrooms are interconnected the master bedroom having its own conservatory with panoramic views over the surrounding country side, walk in wardrobe and en-suite facility, furthermore there is a bedroom with 3 single beds, all bedrooms benefit from air conditioning.

About Paul Hay (Property Manager)

Having lived on the islands 19yrs I suppose I can now be classed as a local, formerly from Manchester in the UK. Needless to say I love the islands and the most prominent factor being the people of Malta, warm heart, sense of humour, respectful, strong family morals just about sums it up! Oh yes, to mention of course the super weather we are blessed with, after many years of rainy summers in England I am not only blessed with sunshine, but my darling local lady Carrol.

We enjoy eating out, especially Carrol..! You can be sure to enjoy some fine restaurants all over the islands, where quality is high on the menu with a great local bottle of red to wash it down, yep the true Mediterranean Maltese way. Summer months are a delight to swim in crystal blue waters and a very warm sea, snorkelling is a must!

Please do ask any questions about the accommodation or the islands as a whole, I'm a well seasoned wealth of local knowledge after 19yrs I don't think there is much I didn't do, see or eat ;)

Dream Holiday Villa

We have from just returned to Ireland from a wonderful week at Tal Magna. This is a lovely large villa as we had a wide range of ages in our group from grandparents to 2 toddlers this gave us plenty of privacy. The rooms are very spacious and airy and the air con works very well! The villa is just lovely and it was so clean when we arrived! The pool is a perfect place to get into and relax. A few recommendations: Blue Lagoon is a must, Mdina is the most beautiful place I have been and you should definitely take a trip to Gozo. The area was very quiet, we did hire a car which was very useful. Mary the lady who checked us in was very helpfull. AMAZING property, traditional, characteristic but with modern features, very spacious for a large group, well equip with everything you need. I would recommend any group to stay at this villa and we plan to return in the future.

Ghajn Tuffieha (meaning “The Apple’s Eye”) is made up almost entirely from agricultural land with the quaint villages of Manikata and Mgarr coming under its district boundary, the area boast some of Malta’s finest beaches such as Golden Bay, Ghajn Tuffieha, Gnejna Bay of which Golden Sands is the more popular, the prettiest is a matter of self preference. Enjoy walking at its best as within Ghajn Tuffieha some of Malta’s most popular rural walks can be found here, whereupon Roman archaeological remains can be found and explored the views from the coast are spectacular with the sunset a popular ‘to do’ on many visitors note pads. Ghajn Tuffieha is without doubt a peaceful area of Malta, yet just a short drive of 5 minutes finds you in St. Pauls Bay or Mosta, with Mgarr being less than 2 minutes away.
