About Bonnie or Terry

Always dreamed of being in the mountains were the pace is slower and you can enjoy the beautiful weather, friendly people and tranquility. My parents had a home here since back in the 1960's which we came up for vacations only. We thoroughly enjoyed the time that was spent here so when the opportunity came to purchase this home, I did it! Absolutely love it.

Bonnie or Terry purchased this house in 1997

Why Bonnie or Terry chose Boone

In 1997 we had only 1 grandchild, now we are up to 14. We bought a second house so we have room when the children and grandchildren want to come for a visit...

Guestbook comments from the owner

Perfect house for our family

  • 5 of 5

We had 5 adults and 3 small children and loved this house. The master suite is separate from the rest of the house and made a great place for the baby to sleep with us where he would not wake the rest of the house during the night. The owners were very nice and left us a bunch of firewood. We enjoyed roaring fires every night. Our four year old loved the yard, especially the treehouse and the stream. The house was clean and well cared for. The neighborhood is also really cute, a bunch of cottages tucked onto the mountain side.

Home away from home

  • 4 of 5

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. We went to Boone to see the beautiful fall colors and we're not disappointed. The home was perfect for us. We had 5 adults and a toddler in our group and we had plenty of room. My parents enjoyed the spacious master suite. We had an obstructed view of Grandfather Mountain but still enjoyed the scenery. The house is well equipped and clean. We would definitely like to visit again.

The Perfect Mountain Cabin

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful place to stay! Comfortable beds, plenty of room to relax inside and out. The owners take great pride in their property and it far exceeds the average rental. So peaceful. The only sound comes from the small stream along the side of the house and it is mesmerizing. We can't wait to stay again!

We stayed in this house f...

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this house for New Year's and it was just beautiful. All you need is your personal belongings and you are set. The views are beautiful and the house is located right beside a stream and all of our children loved playing in it. We would go back again for sure.

All of our Grandchildren love coming to our home in the mountains. This home has a tree house in the back yard for little ones and the stream that runs along side of the home is a favorite of theirs to catch all sorts of little creatures! They love it. Also, not far from us is the little town of Valle Crucis. The Mast General Store is a must for all who come. Behind Mast General is a great park for the kids to play while their parents relax or walk along the beautiful Watauga River. We are very close to the famous Blue Ridge Parkway and Tweetsie Railroad for the children. Boone is the town Appalachian State University is in so we have many visitors that come for their college games. I could go on and on with trout fishing, golf courses, etc. You have to come and see for yourself!
