I live in the same building of the apartment, on the third floor and I am always happy to help guests for any eventuality. If you wish, you will feel like visiting family! :-) I know my town very well as my old family lives in Rome since Julius Cesar time. I studied classical studies (history and arts), and I have a licence in Political Sciences. I have been an official at the European Union Commission in Brussels, Belgium. Then I became a teacher specializing in language teacher training. I teach Italian and French to students and language teaching methods to language teachers. I have many years of experience in this field. I am happy to organize for my guests: - lessons (Italian & French for foreigners) - guided tours in and outside Rome; - pick-up from/to airports, from/to Civitavecchia port I speak French & English and I love Italian cooking and art.

Why mirella chose Municipio I
The apartment is in the same building as my home, so I can help my guests on every eventuality. You'll feel at home and you'll live in Rome as Romans do. My family CASSIO lives in this area since Julius Caesar's era. That's why I love and know very well my town. One of the most valued features of the apartment is its location in the historical center of Rome: it gets you away from the tourist crowds and right into a wonderful, Italian neighborhood “Centro Storico”. Address: Via Banchi Vecchi. The apartment block is situated between the Vatican and Campo de’ Fiori, in the heart of historical and archaeological Rome. The location of the apartment makes it easy to get to all the places of interest (Piazza Navona, Castel S. Angelo, Colosseo… monuments and museums) either by walking or by taking the convenient bus lines. Well connected to all areas of Rome by public transportation (bus stops, taxi stands are easily accessible). The area is very safe.

Great place to stay in the heart of Rome
The location of the property is great for easy Rome site seeing. A reasonable walk to the Vatican or the Colosseum and access to public buses (40, 64) was very easy. Everything a family needs is in the neighbourhood, a small grocery, several restaurants and take-outs, shops, and a very short walk to the farmers market. We enjoyed eating on the roof-top terrace and picking up local goods at the market and cooking on our own. Mirella was a gracious and helpful host. Our family of 5 would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Rome with an authentic Italian experience.
A Roman Holiday
Starting with a warm welcome, Mariella allowed us to feel right at home. She toured us around the apartment, took us up to the top terrace and showed us through her own apartment in case we needed anything down the road. She taught us how to use the keys, explained the city map, and even took care of our fan that wasn't working, which was so wonderful since the nights were so hot. The apartment was in a great location with markets and eateries close by. We were so pleased because we felt that we were getting an authentic rome experience. Would highly recommend her and the apartment.
We spent 4 days in Rome this summer during the heat wave. If you want a great apartment with access to shops, restaurants, markets, and more this is the spot for you! Mirella the host was extremely helpful and booked our taxi to the airport for our flight home. She told us how to get around and gave us some tips about the neighborhood. The apt was perfect for the 4 of us with a little courtyard and terrace at the top with beautiful views. I would highly recommend a stay!
