Wai'ula'ula is located on the 'mauka' or mountain side of the highway at the Uplands development, accessed through the Hapuna Prince Resort entrance. The elevation of this area provides the most pleasant temperature with gentle breezes and expansive fairway views. All of the 'Ridge' units at Wai'ula'ula can be opened up for outdoor living but are also air-conditioned for maximum comfort. It features it's own private infinity pool, large hot tub, and exercise room. It has a natural saline pool that is gentler on the skin than chlorine. There is also a large Club House that can be reserved by guests for entertaining.

We wanted a first class condo at the Mauna Kea Resort.
South Kohala Management purchased this condo in 2007
Wai'ula'ula is a quality development with amazing views of the four volcanic mountains on one side, and the stunning coastline on the other. The amenity center is gorgeous and has a deluxe fitness center. Vacation time here feels like a true retreat and the facilities are unbeatable.
H201 was the original model unit and is in the best location within the complex. It has all the top upgrades and the most stunning ocean views.
The home and the amenities were very fine. It was fully equipped to meet all our needs. The view was lovely.
We loved this condo! The location, above the Mauna Kea, was perfect for the destination wedding we were attending. The view was fabulous - lots of ocean and palm trees! The condo had a well-stocked kitchen. It comfortably slept 3 couples. Very peaceful and quiet! Just what we wanted!
We have stayed in this particular condo several times over the past few years and it is exceptional in every way. The view of the ocean, the cleanliness, and attention to details make this a wonderful getaway. Then, there is the Amenities Center with the infinity pool, exercise area, and spa....all within a very short walk from the condo. The owners keep this unit outfitted with the best of everything, from linens, kitchen appliances and gadgets, comfy furniture, and tasteful decorating. Simply beautiful and relaxing !!!

This is an excellent rental! It has a stunning view of the ocean and golf course. The sunsets are incredible! The amenity center has a wonderful workout area and the infinity pool so refreshing. The spa very hot for soaking tired golfing bodies! The kitchen fully stocked if you want to do your own cooking!
I have stayed in this unit on several different vacations. It has an incredible view of the ocean and the golf course.
The kitchen is fully appointed with top of the line everything. I found nothing lacking. The beds are awesome and the furniture is above the norm. I recommend this unit over others I have stayed in.
Very good value in all aspects. I will return.
Located just 28 miles north of the Kona International Airport, The Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii is one of the most iconic travel destinations in the world. Built by Laurance Rockefeller and completed in 1965, it has been the choice of distinguished travelers and dignitaries since it's construction. The resort was developed around two of the world's most picturesque and peaceful beaches, Kauna'oa and Hapuna Bay. Here you'll find soft white sand and brilliant turquoise waters with the majestic Mauna Kea volcano as a backdrop.
