Fun Spring Weekend in Iowa’s northeast country
Our stay at this cabin was absolutely wonderful! The view above the clouds is outstanding. Lots of wildlife walked in the fields around the cabin. The hosts were very nice and left a nice gift for my husband, Randy’s, birthday. It wasn’t that far from the fun activities around Decorah. We went to Dunning Springs, Fish Hatchery, Eagles Nest, Seed Savers Exchange. We also enjoyed Pulpit Rock Brewery and Winneshiek Wildberry Winery. The local food co-op was also a great resource.
Glad you had a good time although we do not allow people to walk in the fields out in front of the cabins as that is not part of the property and is trespassing. There are also multiple signs at the boarder of the property saying this and is also in the Cabin Guide Book. We just don’t want future guests thinking this is okay to do which is why we must address this.
First night grilled steaks on grill started a fire in pit other than the wind it was awesome had a beautiful view. Saturday cold and windy cabin still cozy hiked all day went to dinner no fire that night it was 30 out. Overall cabin was clean warm and quiet. Would love to come back in the summer time.
Great remote get away for a couple, young or old.
A cozy little cabin with a great scenic view of the countryside. Owner checked on us when we arrived and once during our stay. Would return here anytime.
