Awesome Vacation on the River in Cambridge, MD for Family
The property was advertised well, even a bit bigger than described. The amenities of the in ground swimming pool, dock, kayaks, canoe, bikes, and lawn games provided plenty of entertainment for our family. Guy and Jennifer were awesome hosts that assisted us with any issues or questions. We loved our stay with our family, 11 months old to 73 years old. Would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on the Eastern Shore in Maryland.
Great Spot for Eagleman
Awesome spot for a large group for Eagleman or IM Maryland. It’s about 15 minutes from the start, and can comfortably sleep at least 10 people. House is on the water and has kayaks/canoes/fire pit.
From the majestic pines lining the driveway to the tranquility of sitting in the living room overlooking the expansive river views, the Edgar's home was a perfect place for our family to stay during the Ironman event. Guy caught blue crabs off the dock for dinner one night followed by a boat ride out to the bay to view a gorgeous sunset. The Edgar's treated us like family and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Highly, highly recommend.
A beautiful relaxing Eastern Shore experience
We had a great time at the Edgars’ lovely home. It is on a private, expansive waterfront property where our kids and dog could roam free. We had lots of plans to do things in the area but we ended up spending most days at the house - swimming in the pool, kayaking in the Little Choptank, napping in the hammocks, watching the birds, and playing epic rounds of cornhole. We never even turned on a tv. The back of the house is all windows so the views are beautiful. Sunsets every night (but bring bug spray). The house is filled with interesting art, antiques, taxidermy, duck decoys and little touches that show how much Guy and Jennifer love it here and how well they care for the property. The house is immaculately clean, spacious and a wonderful gathering spot for family or large groups of friends. It has a great sound system and we played country music all week.We went out on a fishing trip one evening with Guy on his boat and caught a lot of Perch - which he filleted for us and we ate the next day. The kids loved that. The house is located in “The Necks” neighborhood, which is very scenic and rural. You have to drive through a depressed part of Cambridge to get to it, but it’s not that bad. Most of the area is rural and very scenic. Nearby towns of Easton, Oxford and St Michaels are a fun visit. In Cambridge, Emily’s Produce has great homemade food and produce and a sunflower maze, Blackwater Wildlife Refuge is lovely as well. Guy is very responsive and will answer any questions you may have. Will definitely return!
Something fun for everyone!
The home and resources were exactly what we saw on the web. Clean, spacious and owners helpful.
