Spectacular 8000 m2 Property
This 8,000 metre estate is one of the few examples left from a more splendid age which Tenerife knew when the Island was a paradise known only to a few Europeans. The 'finca' has outstanding views of Teide, the sea and the Oratava Valley. Its situation is excellent for travelling to other parts of the island as it is close to the motorway yet only a few minutes from the beach and the centre of Puerto de la Cruz. Close to the finca is to be found one of the best restaurants in the area. Although the origins of the finca dates to the XV1th century, the house itself dates back to the early XXth century. It is an elegant house with large rooms which have been carefully maintained. Mainly traditional furniture. The tropical gardens are a special feature with charming and secluded corners where one can relax with a book or merely admire the scenery. For the more energetic there is a tennis court with tennis racquets available free of charge, a swimming pool, a sauna, all set in lush vegetation with fruit trees. These facilities are shared amongst the 5 houses. This spacious house stretches over two floors with access to a rooftop terrace. Enjoy meals at the long dinner table on the ground floor, or on the outside patio in front of the kitchen. The master bedroom with its wide screen windows is the most special bedroom of the house – you may have to toss a coin. For sunbathing in private use the small rooftop terrace. From the roofs tower platform enjoy a spectacular 360° view over the Orotava valley and the Atlantic Ocean .

About Ana B. Reid
My name is Ana B. Reid. I live in Tenerife and I have been many years receiving clients on this spectacular finca, doubtless the most spectacular one I have seen in Tenerife. Its proximity to Puerto de la Cruz makes it a comfortable place to stay. I know the area very well and I give all the guests very useful information about beaches, restaurants, and must on this side of the island, where you can find 80% of the Tourist Attractions. I also have a lot of experience with tourist, as I studied Business Administration at University, I was selected to participate on the exchange students programme with Manchester University and a Master on Leisure and Tourist industry. Afte my studies, I worked in several companies until March 99, when I started her own project with a company specialising on Tenerife and called Tenerife Country Villas, getting the Tourist License from Gobierno (Goverment) de Canarias. Coming from an English family, I perfectly understand the wishes and hobbies of our European visitors, and being a Tenerife native, I have real information about the island, such as access to any subject which might interest my clients. It is a very quiet property, although it has very easy communications everywhere. It has a restaurant with garden only 30 metres from the house that we highly recommend. the elegance of this house is everywhere: on the pergola with views, on the picturesque chapel with many stories behind and the extremely ample spaces.
What makes this House unique
Having a Tennis court is a great advantage, also having a sauna. The pool is heated up to 24ºC and it is a large one, ideal if you like swimming. On the other hand, it has daily cleaning service from Monday to Friday, which is definitely a must. There are only 5 houses on the finca, which guarantees the privacy considering the property is 8000 m2!

My wife and I had a wonderful 12 days at Ana's Property in La Orotava. It is close to Puerto de la Cruz to explore the city but far enough away to feel like your in the countryside. The pool was a big plus as we could enjoy the sun and then take a dip to cool off. The city of La Orotava is close enough to walk to and enjoy a meal or just a glass of wine or a beer. Tito's restaurant just down the road was a great place to enjoy a reasonably priced meal with wonderful ambiance. I particularly liked the one bedroom accommodation because of the extra privacy that it provided. I would highly recommend a stay at Ana's property when visiting Tenerife.

I booked the property based on the following description …”Casa Jardín at Finca El Drago: This house measuring 65 m2 has great privacy, as it is in the middle of the South Garden. ” and a picture showing the described detached property. We value privacy and the associated quietness highly on our holidays.
I followed up with the owner directly after to ensure that we had been booked in the Casa Jardín. She advised that we had been booked into the other one bedroom property (in the middle of the main house) because the Casa Jardín was booked for three nights of our seven night stay but we could switch after three nights. I proceeded with the booking knowing I could cancel if I found a detached property. A day later the owner contacted us to advise that she had made arrangements and we could stay at the Casa Jardin for the full seven nights after all. I stopped looking for alternatives. I also confirmed the flights and hire car.
The day before we were due to travel I received bad news from the owner. The Casa Jardín was not now available, workers putting in a new floor were running behind schedule, so we had to stay in the other one bedroom house. Needless to say I was not happy but the flights and hire car were booked and paid for. You can decide for yourself on the unfortunate timing of such news.
The day after our arrival a family of eight with four small children arrived and were staying in the main apartment which was to our left and above our rooms. To keep this short I will simply describe the new guests as very noisy from early morning to late at night.
I requested a move to any of the other free apartments the next morning. It took three nights and a lot of hard work before we were finally moved, I found the customer service poor especially when, at one point, it was suggested that we could leave any time we wanted if could find somewhere better. We will not be returning.
PS I never saw a single worker at the Casa Jardín during our entire stay.
First class accommodation, spotlessly clean surroundings
All the apartments had their own outdoor space, pool was fabulous, delightful gardens full of colour. The slight price you pay for such a green environment is that you don't necessarily get wall to wall sunshine.
Basic kitchen, but perhaps it's just the Brits who eat in in the evening.
As someone who's allergic to cats, I would say they could be a bit of a nuisance, but didn't spoil the holiday.
The sauna and tennis court were great.
Lidl close by. Puerto de la Cruz was good for souvenirs and some nice restaurants, but you're glad to get back to a quiet oasis.

Stunning and quiet property with great facilities
If you want peace and quiet, with easy access to La Oratava (although it's a stiff 20 min walk uphill), and great restaurants with few tourists, this is the place. Immaculately clean and well kept, super friendly cats !!

Fantastic oasis to explore from
We booked our villa at the last minute and were very happy with our one bedroom property. An issue with the water heater meant we were moved to another villa within the site so we had the opportunity to see another property. This was larger and also lovely, both were very well equipped. The site itself with the swimming pool and tennis court are lovely and the gardens themselves are full of wonderful plants. The overall site is spacious and safe. To walk into La Orotava centre is about 15 minutes but it is not easy as you need to cross the busy main road at a roundabout however the local taxi service will arrive within 5 minutes and it is around 4 euros to La Orotava and 8 euros to Puerto de la Cruz. Overall fantastic venue for a holiday.

We can send a map with situation of this finca, which is very good as it has excellent communications to everywhere. Most of our clients book again on this house, I like mentioning also that there is a big road next to it, 150 metres, although there is such an amount of vegetation there that absolutely no one has complaint before. Only on the busy hours of the day, and from the south garden (never inside the houses), you can hear the whispering of some traffic, but it is so low that I insist that no one notice, I guarantee that. I went last month to do the annual check ( like checking the properties I rent) and I was very pleased of the maintenance. This is our most successful property. The north gardens have views to Puerto de la Cruz and the sea.
It is situated on the limit of Puerto de la Cruz. The house is surrounded by a lot of vegetation which gives a quiet atmosphere. On the main road walking 220 metres from the house there is the Bus Stop, every half and hour there is a bus stop going up to La Orotava centre and Bus Station there and also every half an hour there is a bus going down to Puerto de la Cruz centre and the beach.
Just near the property, on the left side, you can find Restaurant Los Perales, we recommend you to book a Garden table, definitely we recommend "arroz caldoso" their specialty (a kind of rice with sea food, it is absolutely delicious, they also have a wide range of excellent wines).
On the same side, about 350 metres, you can find the famous restaurant Lucas, considered the best on the north. On the other side of the road you have two more restaurants, but you have to walk 400 metres for that. There is also a very good restaurant very simple called "El ramal" which is actually the tipical house for local food (we call it "Guachinche"), delicious and Euros 7 per person! A bit further you can find the cool "Lucas", romantic and stylish, the best restaurant on this side of the island.
For supermarket, we recommend you use the big comercial center down near Martianez Beach, or walk up to La Orotava centre, where there are also some good supermarkets and more restaurants.
To get to Martianez beach, the easiest thing to do is to take the bus (it takes only 4 minutes to get there). The bus service here is cheap (especially if you use a Bono-Bus card) and punctual. You can also be collected by a taxi (I will provide a telephone number)
