Susan and Sonny live in Duxbury, MA with our 4 college age children. Together we make a great team and we totally renovated this grand old lodge in 2001/2002. Susan & Sonny Zaverucha purchased this lodge in 2001
We’ve just reserved our 3rd annual week at the lodge. This is a great place to vacation and we just love it. We come back year after year with a full compliment of kids, cousins, parents and friends. The place is grand, well decorated and a terrific getaway. We come each year with the intention of visiting all of the local sites, but usually just stay in and enjoy the peace and quite of this home and the beautiful lake setting. The porch and hammocks are great for reading and the house is large enough for everyone to find a favorite place to relax. The kitchen is large, well laid out, and fully equipped. The rooms are nicely decorated and very high end. The only drawback is that our time flies by and we leave wishing that our week was just starting.
The owner's description is spot on, Stunning, Luxury Lodge on Crescent Lake! Everything about this destination exceeded our expectations. The photos on VRBO do not due justice to the size and personality of this property. 5 of us enjoyed long celebratory weekend...we could of had 8 more join us and there still would be plenty of room. The house was very clean and well appointed. 2 giant fireplaces with plenty of wood out the front door made for some cozy evenings. The location on Crescent Lake is perfect, very private with a great westerly view of the sunsets. The fishing was outstanding too. We caught plenty of bass, Largemouth to 5 lbs. and Smallmouth 4 lbs.+ some of the biggest came right of the dock. The owner was a pleasure to work with, we look forward to returning many more times.
Our three daughters and their families gathered at the Lodge on Crescent Lake in August 2013 to celebrate my 70th birthday. It was a perfect place for four young cousins to play on the dock, beach and woods and we all talked about the wonderful time we had all winter. We look forward to returning in the summer of 2014. The outside deck above the lake in the pines was a favorate gathering place for coffee in the morning and for wine and snacks before dinner. The place is superb.
The property was outstanding...well cared for and stellar location. We love Maine and were not disappointed in the least with this rental. We hope to stay again in the future and no doubt will have more good things go say!
This lodge was just a perfect place for our winter family vacation. We were blown away by the spacious and open main floor and the gorgeous lake views. The kitchen is superb for anyone who loves to cook for a crowd - massive island, hardworking viking range, expansive dining area with views and fireplace, wetbar, and all the tools you need. There is a tremendous amount of space - the entire first floor is full of bunks! It is a fantastic setup for families. We loved the fireplace and the high ceilings, it was extremely peaceful and relaxing. There were just four of us but this house can accomodate a very large group without anyone being cramped. The home is also well appointed with everything you need, and the decor is fantastic. For winter months, this home is easy driving to ski areas like Shawnee and Sunday River. We also enjoyed a few of the local markets and restaurants very much. It is a very secluded spot and I can only imagine how much fun it could be in the summer time. But for winter it was outstanding - we found ourselves wanting to just stay in instead of going skiing! I would highly recommend this rental, it is a really unique and wonderful property.
This is a beautiful spacious lodge!!! We are 4 couples who get together annually. This lodge accomodated all of us easily. The kitchen had all we needed. The furnishings are of high quality and attractive. Everything is clean and neat. The veiw of the lake is lovely and with warm weather the porch is the place to be!!! We look forward to next years stay.
Crescent Lake is situated in the beautiful Sebago Lakes Region and the lodge is located on the more desirable east shore of the lake. This smaller, quieter lake is suitable for children of all ages. Enjoy all of your favorite freshwater activities, fishing, boating, water skiing, tubing, kayaking, etc. For the nature enthusiasts you may paddle or motor your way up the Tenney River where wildlife abounds. This river connects Crescent Lake to the larger Panther Pond. Also, our 25 mile proximity to Freeport and Portland offers a multitude of shopping and dining experiences.
The fall is our favorite time of the year on the lake; apple picking, hayrides, and nature walks. Located just a few miles away is Rattlesnake Mountain which offers great family hiking activities. In the winter months we are within easy driving distance to some great skiing including Shawnee Peak & Sunday River. Snowmobiling, ice fishing, skating, and snowshoeing are all available at your front door
