We live in a small fishing village on the Lizard Peninsula, South west Cornwall with our three young boys. Simon is a retired fisherman and I was a primary school teacher until I gave up my post to look after our children and concentrate on managing our holiday properties. We are a small, family owned and run business and we are delighted to say that many of our guests return again and again.

We spent several months in Cyprus looking for a villa and and we kept being drawn to the beautiful area of Latchi, we enjoy strolling around the harbour and eating fresh seafood in the tavernas. We love the unspoilt beaches in the area and exploring the beautiful Akamas peninsula. We were besotted with our villa on first sight, it has a much larger than average garden with fabulous plants and fruit-bearing trees, it also enjoys sea and mountain views from the balconies. It is unusual in not having properties to the sides and rear so enjoys a greater degree of privacy as well.
Having young children ourselves, the first thing we did was to arrange for a bespoke children's safety fence around the pool, this has a self-closing gate and offers invaluable peace of mind. The villa has a large, enclosed garden with a gated drive, there is a lovely lawn area for sunbathing and two terraces for alfresco dining. The villa is close to the sea and the lovely harbour village of Latchi. The larger town of Polis is only ten minutes' away by car.
This villa had everything for our large family of 5. The booking was simple and straightforward, with directions from the airport spot-on. On arrival the villa was clean and very well presented, with plenty of room for all. The air conditioning was an added bonus as was the welcome pack of food and drink. An excellent swimming pool and surrounding gardens - perfectly maintained. The description of the villa was very accurate, and surpassed our expectations. Customer service was exceptional ensuring we had a smooth and relaxing holiday from start to finish. Would recommend this villa to friends and family and we will definitely return. An outstanding holiday destination.
This stunning villa is brilliantly equipped with everything you could need for going on holiday with a young family. We stayed in Latchi for 10 nights with our three children aged 7, 4 and 11 months and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
The nearby villages were really easy to get too and we were able to buy baby formula, fresh bread, croissants, fruit, veg and milk for our stay.
There are lots of lovely places to eat in Latchi, especially near the pretty marina, meaning we didn't need to travel too far from the villa.y
The villa itself was clean, well equipped and the private pool was well used! For me, the safety fence around the pool was a god-send and meant I could relax when the children were playing outside in the garden.
The children loved playing with the many toys and inflatables available in the villa. There were also lots of plastic plates, cups and cutlery as well as a bottle steriliser, stair gates and other child friendly equipment. It was a real home from home.
The photography and description of the villa is accurate and the owners of the villa were fantastic. They were really flexible with our booking, provided lots of information (and the most detailed and easily followed travelling directions to the villa!) and quickly responded to any enquiries we had.
We visited pathos and coral bay during our holiday but we mostly stayed local so we could all relax and make the most of being out in the sunshine. The nearby beaches, although pebbly, were immaculate. There were a couple of play parks for the children, lots of cafes and restaurants, places to buy ice-cream and we all enjoyed walking around the marina and watching the boats coming in and out.
If you are considering booking a holiday then I would highly recommend this villa... My advice would be to book it now!!
We can't wait to come back again!
Capers is everything a family or adults could want in a holiday villa that is a home from home.
It is set in beautiful gardens which were very private and well laid out. Each bedroom had its own terrace or balcony so you had your own private outside area if you wanted it.
It was extremely well equipped and set up to be safe for a family with little ones but these features are unobtrusive if you don't need to access them. (We were 3 couples but have grandchildren). We will go back with our little ones who we know will have a fab time there.
It is comfortable and welcoming, with essential provisions (milk, bread etc) provided at no extra cost. Everything is clean and for us personally we were delighted to find good quality, comfortable beds and bed linens.
We had such a lovely time, the villa had everything we needed ( the joy of picking fresh fruit every day - especially the lemons for the Gin n Tonic:-) ) and we left Capers feeling relaxed and refreshed.

As we arrived at the airport the biggest thunderstorm of the year began so the journey to Latchi was a trifle difficult with torrential rain. However, We (2 couples) found the villa with no problems & the rain stopped as we arrived. A good omen!
The Villa was exactly as described, very spacious & light. The bedrooms had plenty of storage space with very comfortable beds. The bedroom downstairs was very spacious with a walk in shower. Upstairs, there is a spacious bathroom, unfortunately, only a hand held shower head & no shower curtain, so, we all had to use the downstairs shower. Although this didn't cause any real problems, a proper shower upstairs would have been ideal. A real bonus was having ALL towels provided. Made such a difference to the weight of our luggage!!
The kitchen facilities were great, especially the dishwasher & washing machine. So handy. We had everything we needed & more. So unusual to have plenty of cooking utensils.
Outside was wonderful! Ideal for lazy afternoons in the sunshine. The fruit trees were abundant & we used lots of green lemons . We did try the pomegranates but the seeds were a bit hard, we couldn't work out if it was too early or too late for them! Just a few days before we left the satsuma/ clementine tree near the pool house gave us some lovely, ripe fruit. Such a bonus!
The pool was quite cold ( for us oldies anyway,) but it was good to have it to cool off once in a while.
The main terrace was very spacious & we could always move to one of the others terraces for shade or when the sun moved, or indeed to the lovely garden.
The walk into Latchi was about half an hour along the beach which was much more pleasant than the road walk, an easy walk & such beautiful scenery. There is an abundance of restaurants to choose from, mostly good, but the Molos was a firm favourite of ours. We went to Neo Chorio & experienced a more authentic Cyprus restaurant. No frills but good, home cooked food.
Polis is a lovely place, especially in the evening in the central square. Great atmosphere & restaurants.
The supermarket in Polis is the best one in the area.
Maria, the link person for the villa, was very helpful, replacing broken sun beds & getting a plumber really quickly when the water tank sprung a leak.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Capers & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. A lovely villa set in a beautiful, well maintained garden with stunning views. Thank you Fiona for everything, we loved every minute
