Conveniently located, clean, & cozy

  • 5 of 5

Just big enough for our family of 5. I can't imagine having both sofas open in that small of a space, but with one open & one child on the unfolded couch it was perfectly manageable to maneuver around until everyone woke up. The stairs are narrow and many, but we all managed to get our suitcases up without struggle. Laila left the keys next door for us, so that was quite helpful and a worker at the pizza place next door was friendly & helpful when we needed. We never made contact with the owner outside of messages, which was okay for us. The area has lots of great restaurants, parks, tourism & transportation within a 5 minute walk. We really loved the restaurants on Baker Street, and the little food shops & groceries around. The tube is easily accessible in four blocks or so, and we think there was another station to choose from nearby, though we only used the Marylebone entrance. We would recommend this place, and stay there again!

Excellent location, tidy with plenty of room.

Easy to work with owner. Kitchen well stocked. Plenty of restaurants and M&S for groceries. Just know flat is on top floor, 6 flight of stairs. Quiet at night.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

Great location and as described. We would stay again. The place needs a little bit of attention because of some tired items but overall was great. Quiet location. Tight for 5 people but we managed. Luckily we are reasonably fit and that wasn't a big problem. I would recommend this place but be warned it's on the 3rd floor with no lift. Oxford street was a brisk 20 - 25 minute walk. Madame Taussauds was 10 minutes away. Lords Cricket Ground was also 15-20 minutes away.

Great Location and everything we needed

  • 4 of 5

We were 4 so we had 2 on couches and 2 in the bedroom. We chose not to use the pull outs due to the thin, aged mattresses. All the linens were clean and the bathroom was spotless. The unit had older but functional furniture. The kitchen had all the necessities but we used a pot to boil water for tea and coffee because the electric kettle had hard water deposits crusted on the inside. The bathroom was in good working order and we had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The washer/dryer came in handy. The unit is 45 steps up so be prepared to be a little winded at the top if you're not used to a lot of stairs :). It definitely got easier toward the end of the stay. Quiet building, enjoyed the view of the Street. Plenty of dining out options and grocery stores available. All agreed the location was perfect. I'm glad we stayed here versus a hotel.

Fine stay in London. Needs some TLC

  • 4 of 5

We had a fine stay at Simon's. The condo was clean. There was some mold in the kitchen and bathroom that needs to be dealt with but it was fine. It was nice having a washing machine in the apartment, but the drying function was frustrating. The tea kettle in the kitchen needs to be replaced as it leaked everywhere. The apartment is on a quiet street so noise wasn't an issue and it was a quick walk to a tube station. There are some things that are over looked. Like having clean sponges in the kitchen and extra toilet paper. Overall it was a fine stay and we'd probabaly go back.

Set in historic Westminster, the apartment is in Central Marylebone. This part of London is stylish and classy, known best to native Londoners, a hidden gem with first rate restaurants and shops. The buildings are historic, dating from the Georgian era, elegant, with the famous cream coloured John Nash architecture in abundance.

A short walk from the apartment lies Regent's Park, famous for its formal gardens, boating lake and play parks. In the summer, the open air theatre stages productions and concerts. Heading south takes you to Oxford Street and Mayfair, a short ten minute stroll. This area is romantic and would suit couples. For families the choice of activities are endless, with world class museums, art, architecture, shopping and parks. A short ride takes you to the South Bank with the London Eye (big wheel ride with views of London) and the art galleries, a perfect place to eat out with river views.
