Fully equipped rural retreat with private landscaped gardens and swimming pool
Cherry Tree House is located just 20 minutes from the beach at Balchik, 30 minutes from the famous Gary Player golf courses and 40 minutes from the Airport at Varna.
The villa has easy access by local bus or taxi to the city of Dobrich where you can stroll around at your leisure and visit Dobrich park which is definitely one of the most attractive parks in Bulgaria, with lawns, flower beds, a lake, several children's playgrounds, a large café/restaurant that overlooks the tennis courts and a beautiful hotel complex constructed in traditional Bulgarian style. Unlike most parks in Bulgaria, the paths are not all constructed in straight lines - they twist and turn and cross over streams, in a similar manner to parks and formal gardens in the UK, also visit some of the excellent restaurants and bars. You won't believe how cheap it is to eat out until you try it!
With 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a comfortable lounge and fully equipped kitchen, the villa also benefits from its own private swimming pool, patio areas and landscaped gardens with irrigation system. The grounds are private and fully enclosed by walls. The villa has an alarm system linked to a local security company.
A fully equipped summer kitchen incorporating a barbecue, sink with running water, fridge and music facilities makes it perfect for those relaxing summer evenings.
Inside the Villa : The ground floor is spacious and open plan with split levels separating the kitchen/dining area and living room There is a downstairs wet room. A working fireplace compliments the living area. There is a TV with satellite and DVD player.
The kitchen/diner is fully equipped with hob/oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, iron and ironing board and even a dishwasher so that you can really put your feet up and avoid the washing up whilst on holiday. The dining table provides seating for six. A door from the kitchen takes you on to the south facing patio area.
Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms which all overlook the garden. The master bedroom features a king sized bed and an en-suite wet room and toilet. There are two twin bedrooms and a separate bathroom with a shower cubicle and toilet. All of the bedrooms have balcony access overlooking the gardens.
Outside the villa: The south facing gardens, which extend to a quarter of an acre, have been landscaped and feature lawn, shrubbery, patio areas, trees (including cherry) and the private swimming pool. There are two brick outbuildings. One is for storage/tools etc, and the other is an external utility room with washing machine and drying facilities.
We have a delightful summer kitchen which incorporates a barbecue, sink, water, fridge and music facilities, also a table and 6 chairs, 6 sunbeds and mattresses, dining alfresco, what more could you want for a relaxing summers evening after a dip in the pool!
Bulgaria's eastern coast boasts golden stretches of beach, rocky coves and the idyllic, serene waters of the Black Sea. Whilst the hustle and bustle of an emerging tourist destination is apparent in many of the coastal towns, village life in contrast is still very traditional - colourful, tranquil and rich in emotion.
The village, with a population of just 160, is nestled in the Bulgarian countryside and yet is only a 8 minute drive from the city of Dobrich and just 20 min. from the beach resorts and new golf courses.
Village life is still very much as it was centuries ago with some local inhabitants still using their donkey and cart! The people are very welcoming and friendly and whilst the elders speak only their mother tongue, the younger generation speak some English. There is a newly built Mini Market which stocks just about everything next door to Cherry Tree House. Supermarkets can also be found in nearby Dobrich.

We wanted to be part of and enjoy Bulgarian culture and we have certainly got that in this typical little village, with the Mini-market next door and the local busses to and from Dobrich stopping outside

Please contact us to confirm date availability. You will be required to complete a booking form. To secure the booking, a deposit of 25% is required. The balance is to be paid 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. A breakage deposit of £100 will also be charged and will be fully refunded at the end of your holiday after inspection of the property. Payment is accepted by cash, cheque or bank
