Cute cottage in a perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

Our winter stay was perfect! My wife and I were visiting the area for our anniversary and we couldn't have asked for more. Kristin greeted us with a homemade cake which was not only very kind but also delicious! It was a pleasure meeting Kristin and EJ and we've already planned our next trip which will include our kids. Our first thought was that the cottage was perfect for a family like ours. With its location right on Lake Superior and a sauna (also right on the beach) kids will be in heaven. Looking forward to seeing this beautiful property this summer!

The owners came by with blueberry muffins when we got there, showed us how to use the sauna, and were really nice people! We hope to stay again next year!

Great Little Beach House!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at the blueberry beach house! The owners are very welcoming and the home is very well equipped. You can’t beat the setting -right on the Lake Superior beach! We saw some amazing sunsets! We had unseasonably warm weather for October and were able to enjoy walks on the beach and relaxing on the deck. The location was ideal for us as we were visiting our son at Michigan Tech and we also enjoyed exploring the Keewanaw peninsula, including a drive out to Copper Harbor. Hope to stay again sometime!

About Kristin

Ej an I have deep roots in the area. Grandparents migrated here from Finland in the early 1900's. Ej builds Timber Frame houses and I work in the school system. We enjoy spending time with our kids and grandchildren.

Kristin purchased this house in 2016

Why Kristin chose Calumet

Ej and I love living in the UP. It has always been a dream of mine to run a Bed&Breakfast when the kids are grown. Having a chance to purchase the cabin across the road and completely remodeling it, was actually getting the best of both worlds. We can share our love of the area with guests, and manage the property from across the road. Looking forward to meeting you.

What makes this house unique

Sedar Bay is is a peaceful, soul renewing piece of paradise. The Blueberry Beach House is your place to unwind. Wake up for a peaceful walk on the beach. Spend the day watching the lake and picking berries, or take on some of the local attractions. Be sure to be back to for the spectacular sunset. The sauna right on the beach is the best!
