Luxurious and modernly equipped country villa set in 2,500 meters of private grounds, sleeps 18-22 guests, 18 x 6m pool and far reaching uninterrupted views.

The villa has been extensively modernised in recent years and offers extremely private and impressive accommodation blending perfectly the comforts of modern luxurious living with that of the surrounding natural environment. It is indeed a truly idyllic holiday villa!

The fixtures and fittings are of high quality with French Oak and Pizarro tile flooring, stunning bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary labour saving appliances and japanese teppanyaki table. It is air conditioned/heated throughout and has been very tastefully decorated.

The villa is located within the tranquil hillside surroundings of Sitges, Barcelona and offers spectacular far reaching views over the countryside. It has extensive accommodation both internally and externally and is perfect for relaxation and entertainment, for adults and children.

The sleeping accommodation is flexible and can cater for up to 22 guests. Each of the seven to nine bedrooms is very large, with high ceilings, plenty of natural light with some bedrooms leading out onto terraces. All have ample storage and wardrobe space.

The main house comprises of two en-suite bedrooms plus three other bedrooms that can be made up as double/twin bedded rooms or as triples.

The annexed apartment also offers variable accommodation. In addition to having its own fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with large walk in shower, television and private terrace, it can be made up as a two bedroom apartment or a one bedroom apartment with living area.

Another annexed guest house with 2 bedrooms is under construction to accomodate 4 more guests in 2016.

The gardens are full of palm trees, olive and lemon trees and provide a great playground for children...they can hide in the tree house, jump up and down on the trampoline, play football, hide and seek or just splash around in the 16 x 8 meter pool. Meanwhile, the adults can have their fun in the chill out zone... an 80 m2 covered outdoor lounge, with comfy seating, a full kitchen, bar and eating area...perfect to relax after a long day or even after a short day!

Bedrooms

The villa can comfortably cater for up to 22 guests. All bedrooms are very large, with high ceilings, plenty of natural light with some having access to terraces. All have ample storage and wardrobe space.

The make up of the bedrooms can be set up to guest requirements.

The main house:

The main house comprises of 2 en-suites and three large bedrooms that can be made up as double/twin bedded rooms or as triples. Where a triple room is required, the third bed will be a very comfortable and durable fold up bed.

The self contained apartment:

The annexed apartment also offers variable accommodation. In addition to having its own fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with large walk in shower, television and private terrace, it can be made up as a two double bedroom apartment or a one bedroom apartment with living area.

The guest house is now under construction and will be ready in 2016 with 2 bedrooms and bathroom.

Bathrooms

Each bathroom has floor and wall tiles and the fittings are of very high quality.

The walk in showers are spacious and have variable settings for water control.

Smoking Policy

Please note that the villa has a non smoking policy for inside of the property, but smoking is permitted in outside areas.

About Charles Van Den Berg

Alex and Charles are a Dutch couple who moved to Olivella in 1986. Charles is a local businessman and Alex is the owner of one of Sitges' most respected estate agencies.

Since moving to the property we have extended and modified the house to create a family home that blends perfectly the comforts of modern luxurious living with that of the surrounding natural environment. It is indeed a truly idyllic villa!

Why Charles Van Den Berg chose Garraf - Costa Dorada

The plot is 2,500 sq meters and there are no immediate neighbours as we also own the adjoining plot. The house offers far reaching and unrestricted views over the hills towards the sea and the sunrises and sunsets are quite spectacular.

We bought the house because of the space and tranquility it offers, yet it is only a 15 minute drive into Sitges or any of the other surrounding towns. So we have the best of both worlds...the country life and the urban life!

What makes this villa unique

As the climate in northern Spain is so delightful all year round, we created a home that affords us as much comfort and enjoyment both indoors and out.

We like to entertain with friends and family and the gardens provide a great playground for the children...they can hide in the tree house, jump up and down on the trampoline, play football, hide and seek or just splash around in the pool.

Meanwhile, we can enjoy adult fun in our chill out zone...we built a covered outdoor lounge, with comfy seating, a full kitchen, bar and eating area...perfect to relax after a long day or even after a short day!

We hope that our guests will enjoy our house as much as we do and our property manager will be on hand to deal with any eventualities should they arise during the rental period.

From the moment we walked in, the villa was like a dream!

The pool & its "living area" was quite sublime, often pools can disappoint, but not this one.

The house is beautifully designed, spacious & contemporary. Bedrooms were equipped with excellent storage, high quality beds, quiet air con & fans if needed.

Bathrooms were of a boutique hotel standard.

Charles & Alex went to great lengths to provide information on restaurants, supermarkets, & even phoned for a doctors appointment when illness arose.

Our 3 families had a fantastic stay at villa Palmera, only wished we lived there!

Fantastic villa

We have just returned from a fabulous stay here. The villa is beautiful and the outdoor living area makes it extra special. It has a fully fitted outdoor kitchen including oven hob and fridge freezer, lounge area and bar seating area with bar stools. We were hardly inside !! The pool is huge and we spent many hours, day and evening, in the pool.

The setting is stunning, although mosquitos are a plenty, be sure to take plenty of strong repellent. You do need a car as supermarkets and beaches ect are a short drive away. Sitges is lovely with clean beaches and a great choice of restaurants and bars. The harbour is well worth a visit too, especially for dinner.

We would highly recommend this villa and the only suggestions for improvement that we noted were that we would have preferred more cleaning provided ( cleaners come once per week and change towels, bedding and clean ). We would have preferred maybe 2/3 times per week, just for the cleaning not the bedding change. This is just personal choice though.

You will not be disappointed with this villa !!

A quirky villa with lovely pool and outdoor kitchen and living area

Charles and Alex were extremely helpful before, during and after our stay at Villa Palmera. They helped us organise chefs, restaurants and grocery deliveries. We had one small accident whilst at the villa and Charles was very quick to respond and extremely helpful.

The outside area of the villa was the main attraction for us: The pool was big and the perfect temperature to be both refreshing but warm enough for the children to stay in for hours. The outdoor kitchen and living area was great for pool side relaxation and lunches. The chef, Natasja, also cooked 2 amazing dinners for us by the pool.

We booked the whole villa which included the new garden room and the separate 2 bed annex with a kitchenette. We didn't end up using the 2 bed annex with the kitchen for various reasons but the second bedroom in there doesn't have air-con. The villa itself is quirky and well loved. It felt like a home away from home. The large living and dining room was very sociable, the kitchen was well equipped but could have done with some large water glasses. We had a few nights where we were woken up by the neighbours dogs barking but apart from that it was quiet.

We went into Sitges on two evening: one evening we went to Queenz for their dinner cabaret show which was absolutely hilarious. We had a fantastic meal at a restaurant Charles recommended called Carnivor by Valenti.

We had a lovely family holiday at Villa Palmera with 8 adults, 3 children and baby (age range 8months to 67 years old!)

Fantastic holiday and amazing villa

Beautiful villa in gorgeous surroundings, excellent for large families and groups. Fitted out with all mod cons and the owners are extremely professional. The recommended drivers were punctual and delivered excellent service therefore easy to get into Barcelona or Sitges whilst being secluded. We had an excellent holiday and if you need anything during your stay the owners are easy to reach and reply immediately. Highly recommended.
