Centrally located in the ski and spa town of Bad Gastein and only one hour south of Salzburg, CasaNeve is an old historic house completely modernised and refurbished in 2012. The house offers 3 self contained luxury large apartments which can also be rented individually for both your winter and summer holidays, and it can accommodate up to 25 people. This spacious house has retained its classic Belle Epoque style but the apartments also offer all the comforts that both families and young professionals need when on holidays. Each apartment has a very well equipped kitchen, and all the comforts you will need during your holidays such as for instance 40' Smart LED TV, bean to cup Bosch coffee machine, DVD player, free wireless internet, Bluetooth adapter to stream your own movies and music to the TV, plenty of sitting and dining space.
The house has its own ski and heated ski boots storage facility, however we are approximately 300 mt from the foot bridge that takes you the main ski lift which has a very handy ski/boot storage facility in case you did not want to bring your skis back and forward from the house.
We are positioned just above the old center of the town, and in-between the main ski lift and the center. Hence you could always walk 100 mt down a foot path and catch the ski bus from the old center, in case you did not want to rent a car or walk to the ski lift. From the ski lift walking back to the house is about 5 minutes; no need for any ski bus.
Around the house you have a choice of bars, hotels, restaurants, all within a 50 mt radius. One of the best restaurants in town is just below our house.
The highest mountain in Bad Gastein skiing area is Sportgastein, around 2700 mt high, and overall the Gastein area offers 220 Km of skiing for all levels. Bad Gastein is also in between 2 glaciers. Kaprum and the Molltal Glaciers are both above 3000 mt high and can be reached by car in around 45 minutes.
Bad Gastein can be reached by car, from Salzburg 1 hour and 15 minutes and from Munich 2 and half hours. However CasaNeve is 300 mt from the train station of Bad Gastein so you could always take a 1 hour direct train from Salzburg.

Great Property, Great Location
This is a very clean, comfortable and well kept apartment right in the center of Bad Gastein. It's a 3 minute walk to great bars and restaurants, and no more than a 10 minute walk to anywhere else! You can easily walk to the center of town, a fairly large supermarket, the train station, cable car station or the thermal spa.
We went in the summertime and while the town is a little more quiet during the off-season, it was still quite lovely.
Like most HomeAway properties, no amenities are provided so don't forget to buy (or bring) soaps and other toiletries.
All in all a great stay, would recommend to others and book again if we ever returned.

The logistic of holiday apartments is always a bit complex but I am working in providing a Welcoming Pack at check-in which will provide to guest few basic items (beyond the one we already leave in the apartment) so that guests have anything they need before being able to go and do the weekly or stay shopping.
Beautiful house and great apartment
We had a very nice ski-vacation i CasaNeve in Bad Gastein. Several restaurants just around the house and a short walk to the Stubnerkogel-skilift. CasaNeve was just perfect for us.

Mooi ruim appartement, centraal in het dorp. Even sjouwen met bagage omdat auto niet heel dichtbij kan staan. Niet voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn. Veel klimmen en dalen in het dorp.
Dejlig feriebolig, midt i Centrum af Bad Gastain. Ideel for både vandring og skisport.
God og velindrettet bolig. (Kan bebos af 10 pers. men fin for os som 6 pers. i tre soveværelser.
Vi kunne godt have ønsket os, at der var service nok til mere end 6 pers.
Soveværelset i stueetagen var svært at få opvarmet.
Pas på hvis I selv vælger at gøre rent ved afrejsen. Støvsuger m.v. var meget mangelfuld.

Additional information about rental rates
The prices are quoted in Euros per apartment per day and/or week on a self-catered basis. The price includes: rent, value added tax, initial fitting out of bed linen & towels, heating, electricity, water, wireless internet connection, one parking space in the public car park (we provide free WiFi, however it can only be 3G WiFi so it is not meant to be for heavy usage and please be patient in case of any connection problems). Not included is the tourists tax/card, final cleaning, any food and toiletries soaps etc. Tourists tax: Euro 3 per person per day (children under 15 years of age are tax exempt). Compulsory final cleaning per Apartment April and Valentina is €100, for Apartment Livia is €120 and for the whole House is € 320. Parking: one parking space per each apartment in the public park house is included in the price, extra parking maybe available upon request (please speak directly to the KEY HOLDER to arrange this). Use of electric ski boot driers, washing machine and tumble dryer is free of charge. Extra linen/towel sets are available upon request at an extra cost of €10 per linen set and €5 for towels set. Any extra bed on top of maximum capacity included in price is charged at €20 per day. Baby cots are available upon request at €40 per week. High chairs may be available upon request. Payment: 30% payment at booking and the balance 6 weeks before check-in date (we accept Visa and MasterCard, bank transfer and Paypal. For Paypal there is a 3.6% extra charge).
