Great apartment of 70 sqm with natural light consisting of 2 suites (one with a double bed and the other with 2 comfortable single beds) with ensuite bathroom, 4 exterior balconies, living room with 1 sofa comfortable double bed, kitchen and 2 full bathrooms with shower. The apartment is in a typical old building of the Gothic Quarter. Both have been recently renovated. Modern and nicely decorated apartment combines perfectly with the old style of the building. The building is accessed by the Ripoll street but the apartment and the main facade facing the Plaza dels Peixos (the Fish). A curious fact that the building is this apartment, works still the oldest pharmacy in the city. The apartment is completely exterior with four balconies overlooking the street, is a 3rd floor with natural light. In his rehabilitation all the original architectural elements were respected. Parking close to the apartment (Avinguda de la Catedral). Note: There is parking closer still, but for the first day is easier to get to the Cathedral Av.. The building where the apartment is located is right next to the Gothic cathedral of Barcelona, ​​just 500 meters from the port and its adjacent beaches. Because of its unique situation is not necessary to use any transport, being 5 minutes walk from the Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya. Fabulous neighborhood- a few apartment issues

We (2 couples) stayed in the Blue and Green adjoining apartments for 5 nights. The highlight is the fabulous neighborhood that is just a few blocks from the Placa de Catalunya hub. No car needed, you can walk or take the metro to everywhere. The management company were very prompt and helpful in communicating with us in facilitating our arrival. The Blue room had the more comfortable firm queen bed and sitting area, the Green room had softer mattress twins pushed together. Light luggage recommended as the 3rd floor is 4 flights up with no elevator. Both rooms had showers that were extremely slippery- dangerously so, with nothing to grab onto as you step in or out. There is a lot of street noise at night and early morning from the parking garage across the street. We found wonderful restaurants and markets right in the immediate area of the building. For the price, we were pleased overall with the accommodations and especially the location.

Good location, spacious, reasonable price

This Gothic Quarter apartment is located in a great spot 5 minutes from the Cathedral along a comparatively quiet street. There is a parking garage across the street. The apartment has a queen-size bed, fold out sofa bed, a furnished kitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator, and coffeemaker.

Excellent Location but Perhaps not for Everyone

This apartment is in the heart of the Gothic area - just on the border of the Boren area. The area is pack with great historical sites, churches, the cathedral, 100s of tapas restaurants, great shopping and within walking distance of the two main Gaudi buildings. I loved this area and the apartment worked well for my wife, myself and our two teenage kids.

The apartments were completely refurbished just a few years ago and are very well arranged - but small (about 20x20 ft). If you're the type that is just looking for something a little larger and cheaper than a hotel room and plan to just sleep there then it's a great deal. If your the type that spends most of your vacation in your hotel room watching tv and ordering room service then, obviously, this is not for you.

We rented '2 bedrooms' - the green and blue apartments. What you get is two studio apartments each with it's own sleeping area, private bath, living room and kitchen. There is a common door off the stairway that gets you into both apartments. This worked great with teenagers but may not be ideal for younger kids since they have their own kitchen and direct access to the stairway.

The stairs - remember that the 'main' floor in any building in Europe is ZERO. If your apartment is on the 3rd floor then it's 4 flights up. These stairs are really steep and only 3 feet wide but very manageable if you are in reasonable shape. There is no elevator.

Regardless of the stairs, I would stay here again. The internet was fast and the AC cool. You can not beat the location.
