This a great apartment, it is large, roomy and very comfortable. Great well equipped kitchen if you want to fix your own meals. The owner meant us when we arrived and gave us a bottle of very good wine. The apartment is close enough to walk to all the major attractions or there is also public transportation right across the street. The apartment is on the upper lever so there a a couple of flight of stairs to climb. I would highly recommend this apartment to others and would certainly stay here again.
Marco is a gracious host who greated us with a bottle of wine (and pasta to cook), he was kind enough to drove us to the airport once we found out the taxi's were on strike.
The apartment is a nice walk from the historic center (no car or transit required). There are plenty of local restaurants close by.
The apartment is safe and well equipped.
The bathroom is clean and functional.
Laundry faciities are good.
Living room is comfortable but unfortunately the TV has no english news channels.
Bedroom has ample closet space but we did not find the bed comfortable.
May not be suitable for people with mobility issues (stairs to get the the apartment).
Marco was a gracious and helpful host. The apartment was clean and spacious with everything practical one would need. The apartment is private and comfortably can sleep 3 to 4 guests. The historic center is a bit of a walk but is perfect for walking off your gelato! It is close to the Arno and is a great spot to start your Italian adventure.!
Marco was so nice and welcoming to us! We loved this apartment in Florence. Very cute, tasteful apartment, walking distance to some amazing sights as well. Marco greeted us with wine, pasta and some other items great to have access to immediately - especially after traveling with our 6 year old. The apartment met all of our needs and we would definitely stay there again!
Marco is a patient and friendly host. He greeted us at the apartment and provided food for my family of 4 to prepare that night. The apartment is very clean and equip with all the essentials needed to prepare meals, like olive oil to coffee and milk, to a first aid kit of band aides and alcohol to a sewing kit. We were able to wash clothes and detergent was also provided. This is home away from home, in a safe area that is walking distance to the city center, approximately a 15-20 min walk. You can also take the bus which is outside of the apartment. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Florence again.
Everything about this apartment was wonderful. Marco greeted us and although he spoke little English, was incredibly welcoming and helpful - even in taking us to where we needed to garage the car! The apartment itself was clean, spacious and an absolute delight! It was everything we wished for and more. Not only was there a welcoming bottle of wine, and the ingredients for a meal - there were all the necessities that you require when staying in an apartment - down to bandaids! Would definitely stay here again, and most definitely recommend it to friends and family. The apartment was a 15 minute direct walk to the main centre of Florence. The bed was comfortable, the shower water sufficiently hot with more than enough pressure and the Wi-Fi worked well. What more could you ask for in an apartment!.
The historic center is within walking distance in 10 minutes, or just under the bus number. 14 with a stop in front of the house. At 100 meters there are gardens on the River Arno walking towards the city center or opportunities for sports, jogging, municipal swimming pool, gyms and bike paths. Area full of restaurants and pizzerias. A 5-minute walk there is the shopping area of Via Gioberti with many shops, supermarket as well as a bar with ample schedule of opening / closing near the house.
