Great place to stay very peaceful
Jeanne was great to work with. All the way around easy good experience. Exactly what i was looking for.
This was a great house for a family vacation. Lots of space, safe for our grandsons, ages 2.5 and 4.5. Very comfortable.
Great clean house close to the beach!
We loved our stay at this house with our two families (4 adults/2 kids)!! This was our second trip to Loreto and we really enjoyed our time at this house. The house was clean, well stocked with supplies, super close and easy access to the beach, and felt like a nice, friendly and safe little neighborhood. The multiple balconies were wonderful to sit on any time of the day! The walk to town was an easy 20 minutes down the beach. We would definitely reccomend this house to anyone looking to stay and have an affordable relaxing time in Loreto!
A lovely house to stay in.
We were two couples who stayed here. It was a lovely place. The only problem we had was finding it. The number of the house was not given to us and fortunately my brother has a place in Loreto and he knew where the area was and we followed him there. But the actual unit was a confusing one to find. But after a phone call, Lucy was on the street looking for us and all is well. Lucy explained everything to us, about the house, phone and all the kitchen areas. We all loved it.
Very nice, clean and comfortable house a block from the beach
Private and quiet neighborhood. Views from the roof deck were fantastic. Good wifi connection. Kitchen had all utensils and amenities for cooking. Living room had comfortable sofa and chair. Neighbors were friendly and quiet. Property manager was friendly and was quick to help with any concerns. Only had two minor issues. The bed in the master bedroom was squeaky. A dedicated heater for the living room would have been nice for one of the colder evenings. House temp was comfortable most evenings. Note that temps in December can get cold at night. Overall I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet get away.
Well equipped, clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed our short stay. The house was spacious. A very short walk to the beach. Maybe a 10 minute walk along the beach to the north end of Loreto. There were a couple of minor things missing in the kitchen (we left the owner a note). Otherwise it was all good.
Loreto is a small town. There are taxis but no buses. I do recommend renting a car especially if you want to travel outside the city. There are places to rent bicycles in town and near the marina on the malecon. At the Loreto Bay Hotel which is 14.0 km south of Loreto o. Themain highway, they rent kyacks and paddle boards. A beautiful spot with a nice beach. If you have lunch there, you can use the pool.
A boat ride over to Isla Coronado is a good half day trip. It has a white sandy beach and good for snorkeling. And, you can bring a packed lunch.
Loreto is also excellent for fishing.
There are good restaurants. In Loreto. We like La Mission Hotel for a more fancy dinner. Great food. Mi Loreto across from the Mission Church has wonderful food and you need reservations for dinner but not lunch. They offer some great vegan/vegetarian plant based dishes if any of you are plant based.
If you like clams, we love Vista el Mar, a little clam shack, which is about 3 miles south of Loreto Bay on the main highway. They have almejas gratinadas that are really good and a little play area on the beach for kids. About two miles south of the clam shack, there is a look out as you get to the top of the road that has a spectacular view of the Sea of Cortez.
Also, the Mediterraneo on the malecon has good food but pricey. Mandiles also on the malecon also has good Mexcian food. The Mexican food here is not as spicy as what we have in Southern California. There are also many good little restaurants in the center of town.
Not all restaurants accept creit cards. They do have ATM machines at the bank. If you are bringing dollars make sure they have no marks on them, stamps or tears because they will not accept them for exchange.
Lucy who is our property manager whill greet you at the house when you arrive. She will be able to help you rent a car if you so desire at a good price. Also, she will answer any questions you may have and she will give you her phone number for any other questioins you may have while here. You will br able to call her if necessary on our land line whichj we use for local calls and there is no charge. You will like her and find her very helpful.
