Fabulous 2 weeks

  • 5 of 5

I have been coming to the Provincetown area since I was a child. This year we spent 2 weeks in what proved to be the best rental ever! The house was easy to be in, whether it was just my husband and me or when the kids and grandkids were with us. My extended family was in the area and this house was the perfect spot for our group dinners. We loved the location, as everybody could come and go as they pleased without the necessity of a car. However, it is easy access to the highway when we did want to go out. Mostly, though, we just hung out, went to the beach, walked into town and had a very relaxing two weeks. And, of course, we ate lots of lobster!!

Great house, great location and great owners to deal with!!

Great location, amenities and value

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming to Provincetown from Pennsylvania ( a long ride) since 1973 with and without our kids (who now live in Maryland.) This was our first family vacation together in 18 years . We know the area quite well but never rented a house before. This place was perfect. It is located a 1.2 mile, 23 minute walk down Commercial St to the heart of town. My wife, who has knee problems , walked it several times. A shuttle bus to Mac Milan Wharf can be flagged down at the front walkway 15 minutes before and 15 past each hour if you don't want to walk. They return each half hour til midnight.

The home was well done, clean and well equipped. Two nice sized bedrooms are on the first floor as one enters and one is on the second floor off the full kitchen , living room and dining room. The bay facing front deck provides a great ambiance to the entire house. Everything one needs is there including easy access to the washer/dryer at the end of the first floor hall. The house is pet friendly. The bay beach is across the street but is not accessible at high tide here, although one can walk a few hundred feet east to enter the bay then. The ocean , National seashore beaches are 7 minutes away via nearby Rt 6 and more are available farther south off 6. There is a bar at a hotel nearby if you need a night cap

Since there were three couples , we oft split up during the days , hitting different beaches or the bike trails or the Monument but we were together each night for dinner and drinks downtown at our favorite haunts ( pricey but great cuisine) and drinks at various watering holes , some with bay views. There are plenty of things to do but , overall, I don't thing the town is for kids, although we've been taking ours there since they were 4 and 6 years old. If one has the time, going to the Mid and Upper Cape finds other treasures in Chatham, Brewster, Orleans, etc, although we couldn't fit them in this year ( the weather was incredible so we didn't want to miss out on the sun and surf)

Lisa live on the other side of the Pond but she is available in a flash by email. A local property manger is in the backyard if there are any building problems (we had none)

This place was a gem and we'd love to stay here again. We hope it won't take another 18 years to arrange everyone's schedules

A beautiful beach home

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay here over the Summer. The house was very comfortable and well-equipped, particularly as we brought our new baby with us. The house is beautiful, with great views of the water, an open plan living space that is full of character and light and easy access to the beach. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch looking at the bay, having dinners using the wonderful kitchen and socialising in the comfortable living room. The house was very clean and inviting upon arrival; it certainly lived up to its listing description.

We would recommend this house to family and friends.

A wonderful vacation home

  • 5 of 5

Thanks so much for such an enjoyable vacation home. The house was modern, clean and comfortable as well as arty and fun to stay in. The views over the bay were fantastic and we loved cooking and entertaining in the fabulous kitchen/diner. We had a wonderful vacation visiting the restaurants, biking and just lazing around in the house. Thank you!

Our dream house in Provincetown!

  • 5 of 5

This house really ticks all the boxes. All started with the owner being very responsive to all our needs. When we arrived we actually thought the house looked even better in real life than in photos. It is refurbished to a high standard, very clean, tastefully decorated and with large en-suite bedrooms. What we loved the most is that despite its modern interior, there are antique and vintage elements that add a lot of character to the place. The layout is very clever, we shared the house with some friends and family and when we wanted to spend time together, upstairs open plan kitchen and lounge were perfect for socialising, cooking or watching movies, yet when we wanted some space, the house allowed for that too and there was plenty of seclusion space. The house is a stones through from the beach, literally across the road and has stunning views!! It is also very close to the town centre, where we walked or biked every day. Our favourite restaurant so far is Lobster Pot.

Best Place To Stay In Provincetown

  • 4 of 5

The design of the property is well thought out, with the living area on the first floor. We enjoyed staying here and felt at home straight away.

The property was well positioned at the start of Commercial Street, on the East End of the town, which meant we could easily walk into Ptown but just as easily drive out to Truro or Wellfleet.

We loved :

- the beaches in Truro

- having oysters in Wellfleet

- our clambake and dune tour with Art's Dune Tours

- our whale watch

- cycling in the dunes

On our last night we had our best meal in Ptown (which was at The Mews (which is one of the first restaurants you come to when walking into town from the house).

Owner's Response: Thanks very much for your feedback, Pam. It was a pleasure to have your group and we are so glad that you had such a great time at the house and in Ptown. We also think it is the Best Place To Stay in Provincetown! Note to our regular renters - in Europe, what is called 'the first floor' is what Americans call the second floor. Our house is reverse design - so the living area/kitchen/dining area is UPSTAIRS on the second floor!

We have lots of everything!
