Cozy and well located flat

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this apartment. It might seem sort of far away from all the interesting things to see in London, but it's just a 10 minute walk away from two different Tube stations (on two different lines) and it's just what you need to get anywhere. Two bus lines stop almost at the door as well. It has a convenience store just across the street which was really helpful to get the things we needed to prepare our breakfast in the mornings. The flat was very clean, with everything you'd need for a short visit in town.

We are a family of four and my daughters slept in the futton in the living room but it was OK.

Sally was very helpful with directions and answering my questions pretty fast. Thanks, Sally!!! I also met Gunther, the neighbor, who came to see whether we needed anything and to offer his help as well.

I'd definitely recommend it!

Clean, one bedroom flat in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We spent four nights here in June. The flat is within easy walking distance from several underground stations, parks, and restaurants, and a map on the wall in the kitchen is very helpful when trying to find your way around the area. The bed in the bedroom is very comfortable, as is the pull out couch once the mattress pad is put on. Within minutes of our arrival, the next door neighbor, Gunter, knocked to see if there was anything we needed and give us a bit of information. He was wonderful. There is a washing machine in the flat, however the dryer wasn't providing any heat, so I knocked next door and although Gunter wasn't able to fix the dryer, he gladly allowed us to use his so we could dry our clothes while we were out for the day. He even folded them and placed them in a basket, which was waiting for us in the flat when we got back that night. He's definitely a great neighbor.

The bathroom is small, but that's not unusual for apartments in London. The shower door consists of three glass panels that you unfold from the wall when the shower is in use, however it could use a few more panels as it is nearly impossible to keep the bathroom floor from getting wet when showering. Other than that, the place was great.

Colorado Springs

Best location in London for a family with little ones.

  • 5 of 5

First time for me to ever write a review. I'm usually the type that reads everyone else, but I felt compel to write this up for families traveling with little ones. We came off of a Disney Cruise Line and decided to rent a car for two days to allow us to get from Dover, England to London. ( I would recommend you check out Stonehenge on your way into London.) Driving outside of London was easy for us (We are from Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA). Once you get into London, it's a bit tougher similar to New York City. We were able to make it to Sally's Place because her directions to the apartment was great!

Had a little trouble opening the key box to get the key out because we received the wrong combination, so make sure when you get to the location, you are able to text her on your cell phone if you have any trouble getting in. I was traveling with my husband and two girls, ages 7 and 8. If you need anything at all, Guenter and John next door (no 5) are there to help you out. They were awesome in customer service! I can't say enough about them. They checked on us ever so often (we stayed for 5 days at Sally's apartment) and its nice having someone you can trust help you out when you want to get extra info about the area. Grocery Store is 100 feet from the apartment, so I was able to get breakfast food and cook for the family. If you want to save some money for dinner, I bought some pasta and a jar of sauce with some sausages at the grocery store. Kitchen has everything you need that's basic for cooking. The washer and dryer is differently a plus! I did all the laundry before we left. One thing to note is that if the dryer takes a long time to dry, you have to pull it out a bit from the wall so the white tubing behind it doesn't get all kink up as that's what we found caused it to dry so long on the first load.

The living room sofa folds out to a bed (a bit smaller than a U.S. full size bed), but plenty of room for my kids. I think it can handle up to two teenagers as long as they are not too overweight. The master bedroom is a queen size bed and very comfortable. Sheets and Pillows were comfortable. As with the other reviews, you have to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. (I brought 32 decibel earplugs from Walmart) and it took care of the upstairs noise no problem; heavier sleepers no problem with noise.

If it rains, and you have kids, I would recommend you use Uber to get around instead of public transport.

Lovely and convenient

  • 5 of 5

Gunter, a neighbor, was there to greet us when we arrived and did a good job showing us around the flat and answering all our questions. Everything worked and the beds were comfortable. The flat was conveniently located about a 12 minute walk from the marvelously efficient tube system in London.

The flat accommodated four of us, including two on the living room hideabed. Bed were comfortable, the sheets were freshly laundered the flat was very clean.

I had made a mistake in dates when I first booked the flat, booking seven days instead of the six we actually needed. Sally was gyrations in accommodating our change and adjusting the rate accordingly.

We found the flat to be well suited to all our needs and contributed to a very enjoyable visit to London.

Great Location and Helpful Owners!

  • 5 of 5

This property was just as described online and provided all the necessary amenities listed. During our stay, the water pressure fell and we lost hot water during one morning. I sent the owner our issue and she responded within the hour. Then, we were able to fix the water pressure by having her partner give me step-by-step directions over FaceTime. I was very surprised we were able to fix this issue so quickly, considering we did not know how to work this type of water heater.

The location of the apartment is great as it is near the tube and bus stations. Our only complaints were that the upstairs neighbors were playing music at around 1AM on a couple of nights and some of the appliances were not very clean (e.g. water kettle). Otherwise, we had a fantastic time here and would definitely recommend to anyone else staying in London.

buon rapporto qualità/prezzo

  • 5 of 5
