This two bedroom, two bath, hand hewn log cabin is suspended in the air over a large rushing creek. Located 15 miles from Murphy, the cabin offers the best in quiet luxurious living. From the plush bedding to the jetted tub to the Hot Springs hot tub on the lower deck, you may not want to ever leave.
A large stacked rock fireplace creates a warm environment during cooler weather. The upstairs deck is perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. The cabin overlooks Beaverdam Creek, long known to locals as one of the best areas to flyfish for Rainbows. There are steps to the creek that makes it easy to enjoy swimming and fishing.
The cabin is in Vineyard Creek, a small private log cabin development that includes an actual working vineyard and a common area on Beaverdam Creek There's no golf course, no tennis courts, or a lot of other people. There are wild turkeys, hummingbirds, and an occasional shy deer. Boating on Lake Hiawassee is a beautiful way to view the surrounding mountains. Shook's marina, five miles from the cabin, offers boat rentals. Grocery stores are 30 minutes away, so plan accordingly.

Like camping in the woods on a creek, but you got all the comforts of home.
We had a wonderful Easter weekend at this cabin! The Easter bunny found us without a problem ;-) The kids (4 and 6 years old) had a blast by the creek and in the hot tub. The kitchen is very well stocked. I mean really well - every pot/pan/utensil you could imagine. Perfect! The only thing I would advise is to make sure you bring a powerful car or a truck. We have a Mazda minivan and there were a few times I wasn't sure we were going to be able to get up the hill to get off the property. Coming down the drive was a little sketchy, but OK during the day.
This was the best cabin my wife and I have ever stayed in will definitely be returning!
Great appointed cabin with everything you need to enjoy a private getaway. Some of the key attributes we enjoyed: private setting, peaceful atmosphere, water access for trout fishing, spa, wood burning fireplace and cozy cabin size for the two of us.
This cabin was perfect for a private honeymoon weekend. We absolutely loved it here and hated leaving to go back home. We were set to arrive in the middle of the night due to some travel set backs, and Susan was wonderful by leaving some lights on and the cabin nice and warm, as it was a very cold night! We enjoyed laying out on the deck bundled in a sleeping bag listening to a fire crackling and the rushing creek, looking up at the stars at night, and jumping in the hot tub to warm up from the 30 degree weather! This is truly a peaceful and relaxing cabin, and we can't wait to come back. Comfortable beds, all towels, linens, cooking supplies are provided. There is even a spot for dog dishes and a dog bed for your pet! Plenty of info about surrounding restaurants and trails is provided. All you need is clothes and groceries and you're set. We will be back often to experience different seasons and will be bringing our son and dog along in the future.
Thanks so much, Susan :)
The cabin, property and everything was GREAT! Our family loved the creek and had fun exploring. This is a cabin we would like to come back to for sure!
We recently stayed four nights at this cabin and the only complaint is I wish that I had booked more nights. My wife and I took advantage of the remote location to completely disconnect from work. That is what this cabin is designed to do. The location, layout, furnishings and surroundings are ideal for a true getaway. We will be back.
