This two bedroom, two bath, hand hewn log cabin is suspended in the air over a large rushing creek. Located 15 miles from Murphy, the cabin offers the best in quiet luxurious living. From the plush bedding to the jetted tub to the Hot Springs hot tub on the lower deck, you may not want to ever leave.
A large stacked rock fireplace creates a warm environment during cooler weather. The upstairs deck is perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. The cabin overlooks Beaverdam Creek, long known to locals as one of the best areas to flyfish for Rainbows. There are steps to the creek that makes it easy to enjoy swimming and fishing.
The cabin is in Vineyard Creek, a small private log cabin development that includes an actual working vineyard and a common area on Beaverdam Creek There's no golf course, no tennis courts, or a lot of other people. There are wild turkeys, hummingbirds, and an occasional shy deer. Boating on Lake Hiawassee is a beautiful way to view the surrounding mountains. Shook's marina, five miles from the cabin, offers boat rentals. Grocery stores are 30 minutes away, so plan accordingly.

Like camping in the woods on a creek, but you got all the comforts of home.
Quiet remote cabin that provided a great place to unplug.
We selected this cabin for my daughter's 8th birthday celebration because there really is something for everyone to enjoy. My daughter and her friend LOVED the hot tub and my hubs LOVED the creek. We will definitely be booking a return visit!
the cabin was amazing and the stream was so nice to hear the water, everything was so enjoyable
can't wait to go back
This cabin is exactly as stated in the description. It is very much off of the beaten path. You definitely need to bring what you need with you or you can make a stop in Murphy at the stores there for what you need to take in. You need to take everything with you down to the river also because there are quite a few steps. We got a definite work out going up and down the steps. The hot tub is located under the cabin so you have a good view of the under carriage of the cabin. The jets in the tub in the downstairs bathroom do not work and there is a combination for getting the water set for the upstairs shower. The directions for operating the shower are sitting on the cabinet in the upstairs bathroom. There is a clock downstairs that has different bird calls every hour day and night. The housekeeper was still there when we arrived and we arrived at the exact time for check in. This seems to be a standard practice for her because I have read other reviews where she was present. This time of year they drain the lake down so the marinas looked empty and boats and piers were sitting on the ground.
We stayed October 1-6 and it is a beautiful cabin. We had so much fun during our stay. We fished, made fires for hot dogs and Smores. The jacuzzi was so relaxing & listening to the river too. The rode to the cabin is scary but once you get there it's worth it. I would recommend a truck rather than a car though. I would recommend it highly. Patricia K.
