This two bedroom, two bath, hand hewn log cabin is suspended in the air over a large rushing creek. Located 15 miles from Murphy, the cabin offers the best in quiet luxurious living. From the plush bedding to the jetted tub to the Hot Springs hot tub on the lower deck, you may not want to ever leave.
A large stacked rock fireplace creates a warm environment during cooler weather. The upstairs deck is perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. The cabin overlooks Beaverdam Creek, long known to locals as one of the best areas to flyfish for Rainbows. There are steps to the creek that makes it easy to enjoy swimming and fishing.
The cabin is in Vineyard Creek, a small private log cabin development that includes an actual working vineyard and a common area on Beaverdam Creek There's no golf course, no tennis courts, or a lot of other people. There are wild turkeys, hummingbirds, and an occasional shy deer. Boating on Lake Hiawassee is a beautiful way to view the surrounding mountains. Shook's marina, five miles from the cabin, offers boat rentals. Grocery stores are 30 minutes away, so plan accordingly.

Like camping in the woods on a creek, but you got all the comforts of home.
I asked my girlfriend to marry me While staying at this cabin this past weekend. We went hiking and enjoyed the beautiful mountains, streams, waterfalls and all the amazing aspects of the environment. We hiked about 3 miles into the woods following along a stream on unmarked trail. I found a beautiful rock area and asked her to "have lunch and swim in the pool" she agreed and we went down the 45 degree angled mountain terrain probably 20 feet below. There I asked the most important question of my life and I'm so glad to have been in this perfect cabin! It really set the mood for our entire life. Thank you Susan! For all the great help you were and also thank the cleaning attendant, we showed up a few hours early and she was there. She actually was so helpful she went back to her houses and returned wit books and maps about the day hikes even providing her personal books for our adventures, not to mention some of her chickens eggs from her farm. The trip was more than I could have ever dreamed and had such a great stay at this beautiful log cabin.
The view of Beaver Dam Creek from this cabin is amazing!!!
You can hear the creek from the back deck - it is very peaceful
My wife and I had an amazing time during our stay at this cabin . The home and the mountain property are breathtaking and we had a lot of fun fishing and walking along the water. The folks in Murphy and the surrounding area are the nicest folks you will ever meet. We met several locals on this trip and had very nice conversations and learned about some of great local parks and sites to see in the area . It was quiet and and very peaceful and if you love nature, we would highly recommend staying at this property. The owners are fantastic and make sure everything is just perfect for their guest. We will definitely be staying at this property again when we return.
Had an amazing time at the cabin. Waking up to the peace and quiet with just the sound of nature and the beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle.
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. Our grandson enjoyed fishing in the creek and it was nice sitting on the back deck watching the hummingbirds and listening to the rushing water below.
Wonderful stay in the mountains. The cabin was beautiful and just what we needed. The cabin is fully stocked with everything but your own food to bring. We enjoyed making a fire, the creek, the hot tub, and very comfy beds. Although it is only about 10 miles from town, it does take about 30 minutes to drive due to windy roads. We also loved Murphy, the local town. We visited the local farmer's market, the Irish pub, the river walk, and an ice cream shop. We also rented a boat to cruise Lake Hiawassee which was beautiful. Thank you for an amazing weekend.
P.S. Driving there through the mountains of southeast Tennessee was an experience! If we come again, I would likely take a different route.
