Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 3-4)

This two bedroom, two bath, hand hewn log cabin is suspended in the air over a large rushing creek. Located 15 miles from Murphy, the cabin offers the best in quiet luxurious living. From the plush bedding to the jetted tub to the Hot Springs hot tub on the lower deck, you may not want to ever leave.

A large stacked rock fireplace creates a warm environment during cooler weather. The upstairs deck is perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. The cabin overlooks Beaverdam Creek, long known to locals as one of the best areas to flyfish for Rainbows. There are steps to the creek that makes it easy to enjoy swimming and fishing.

The cabin is in Vineyard Creek, a small private log cabin development that includes an actual working vineyard and a common area on Beaverdam Creek There's no golf course, no tennis courts, or a lot of other people. There are wild turkeys, hummingbirds, and an occasional shy deer. Boating on Lake Hiawassee is a beautiful way to view the surrounding mountains. Shook's marina, five miles from the cabin, offers boat rentals. Grocery stores are 30 minutes away, so plan accordingly.

Beautiful cabin!

  • 5 of 5

I loved every minute of my stay here and I plan on being back! The hot tub was amazing but by far the best thing was the river. Opening the back door and instantly hearing the sound of the river below was so relaxing. It's the best cabin if you're looking for some where to get away and unplug. It is in the middle of no where and there is no cell phone service. Which was a great way to get away from work and actually be able to relax the whole stay.

Great privacy on rushing waterway.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed 4 nights at the cabin. The view of the rushing creek was great and the sound was even better. Everything we needed was there and we could not have found a better location for our trip. Privacy was superb. I saw one person walking on the access road to the cabin. My wife did not see another person while we were there. We did not hear anything but the creek and noise we made. Great place to get away from it all!

Beautiful inside and out

  • 4 of 5

Great place for peace and quiet. We didn't see another person around the cabin for the week we stayed. The cabin has everything you need except groceries. The stream below and the birds in the woods provided beautiful background sounds. Enjoyed Lake Hiwassee and the town of Murphy. People are very friendly. Be aware that the roads to the cabin aren't paved, but are in good shape. The Wi-Fi worked great and we used it to make calls on our cell phones.

Tranquil, Relaxing and all the comforts of home

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is wonderful, very secluded with all the comforts of home, we so much enjoyed the hot tub, loved sitting on the huge back deck, grilling out and watching the stream below the cabin. Great small town restaurants in Murphy Chophouse, Irish Pub, Red Brick Cafe and Bakery right across the street. Homemade gray at the Red Brick Cafe is a must try...Very good place to get away from it all, we only saw a four wheeler drive by the whole time we were there...cant wait to go back.

Best cabin rental!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful Easter weekend at this cabin! The Easter bunny found us without a problem ;-) The kids (4 and 6 years old) had a blast by the creek and in the hot tub. The kitchen is very well stocked. I mean really well - every pot/pan/utensil you could imagine. Perfect! The only thing I would advise is to make sure you bring a powerful car or a truck. We have a Mazda minivan and there were a few times I wasn't sure we were going to be able to get up the hill to get off the property. Coming down the drive was a little sketchy, but OK during the day.
