This is about the tenth time we have stayed at this welcoming, cozy, modern home.
Plenty of beds. Great dining table. Very modern and updated kitchen that is stocked with everything you need. And not too shabby having Lake Huron just steps away! We thoroughly enjoy it every time we stay here!
A wonderful, comfortable home
Terrific owners, and a wonderful, well-maintained home. Clean, comfortable, and exceptionally well appointed. It feels like home! We've stayed here before, and we will certainly stay again. It's a wonderful getaway location.
Been renting this wonderful home for my annual scrapbooking girls weekend and it is just perfect! Plenty of space for everyone, great lake views and all the latest technology to boot.
Thanks, Amy! You guys are great, thanks for all the years together. Phil and Cheryl
Great lake views, spotlessly clean, very good hosts, better than the pictures!
We rented this home for our family reunion. We were happy with the cleanness of the home, the amount of supplies in the home, including beach chairs and beach toys and beach towels. Our family really enjoyed the beach area. Three days we had waves to play in. And the other days the water was calm, and we could enjoy tubes and rafts. The reason I am giving this property 4 stars is because it did not have central air conditioning. The contract stated that it had central air, but it was broken. Our host did work very hard to make it more comfortable for us. He provided individual room air conditioning units for each upstairs bedroom and the master bedroom as well as one in the dining room. It was a hot week, and we were thankful to have these units to use. We did ride the bikes, and enjoyed the quiet streets around the house and to the south of us. But without a bike carrier for the bikes, it was too difficult to get to the long bike trail that goes into Tawas. We enjoyed the state park in Tawas as well as minature golf, a canoe trip on the Au Sable, etc. But we mostly enjoyed good family times in the lake and around the house and yard. We would recommend this property to a large group.
Sorry for the inconvience of the A/C, as you know we now have a new unit. Thanks for the review.
Exceeded Our Expectations!!!
I rented this house with a family group of cousins. We were blown away as soon as we walked through the front door. It was very clean, bright (due to the HUGE windows facing beautiful Lake Huron), spacious, and had everything you could ever need to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. If I'm remembering correctly, every bedroom except for the one with the bunk beds has a gorgeous view of the lake. The beach has soft, white sand and beach chairs and toys galore. There is a large lawn between the house and the beach and a great deck for morning coffee and evening cocktails. We all had such a wonderful time. We're planning on returning every June! As a side note, I left my ipad behind, and Cheryl is kindly mailing to my house in Ann Arbor. Thank you Cheryl!
Golf 2 blocks away at Huron Breeze and 15 miles north is the highly rated Red Hawk. Shopping, movie and restaurants in Tawas / East Tawas 15 miles north. Biking, walking and hiking over secluded tree lined point for 6 miles. 6 miles south to canoeing, and beautiful public marina. Great perch fishing area. 30 miles from Corsair Cross Country Ski Trail. 2.5 hours from Detroit! 45 miles from Au Sable River and Lumberman's Monument with georgeous view of the river from Highbanks Trail. Other Activities: canoeing Golf: Huron Breeze across the street. Within 30-45 miles are Red Hawk in Tawas and The Dream and The Nightmare in West Branch. About an hour from White Pines.
