The large, bright Tuscan farmhouse independent, the result of renovation of the old barn of the farm, maintains outside the typical Tuscan stone masonry and brick, while the interior retains the old wooden beams and terracotta bricks. Particular attention is paid to painting, done with hot colors and embellished with small details that emphasize the rustic style of the house. The total area of 140 square meters is divided into a spacious and cozy living area with LCD TV, where she was also obtained a functional fully equipped kitchen. Of particular interest is the wooden loft that overlooks the living area and on which it was made a relaxation-reading area with comfortable sofas. The sleeping area is made up of four beautiful bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with large walk-in shower.

From the moment we entered the farmhouse until we left our family’s experience was excellent from beginning to end.
Though there were many photos of the farmhouse to view before booking our time there, it was even more beautiful in person, done in an updated but old world style … nicer than we imagined. The property was quiet, comfy and we also appreciated the added feature of a security gate. It was quiet yet comfy offering wonderful “family” space where we were all able to congregate (in the living room/dining area) to make plans morning and evening.
The four bedrooms, each as nice as the other, an en-suite bathroom for each, made the short time we slept more than comfortable and easy. Everything was very clean. Everything worked perfectly and/or as it should have.
Luca, our wonderful liaison for the property worked overtime sending us directions to all the places we wished to see, as well as the most helpful tips ever. He made it easy for us to go where we wanted to go and see what we wanted to see. He also was very quick to respond to several personal requests from my family. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you Luca.
We also enjoyed a magical night eating at Osteria Del Vecchio (their family restaurant), and, with a nice surprise of 10% discount. We walked outside to our table for seven at the end of a path through a lovely intimate enclosed garden filled with flowers, greenery and beautiful hanging lights … not too many … just enough to make the garden glow beautifully on our lovely summer night. We all experienced an amazing dinner in a fairy tale garden setting. It seemed as if the setting and surroundings as well as the dinner, in that setting were exactly what a perfect Tuscan dinner on a perfect summer night would include ... just perfect. (I would, if I could, request some photos of Osteria Del Vecchio in the listing.)
We also had a wonderful tour of their very special vineyard, tasting wonderful wines and olive oil from their own olive groves … most of which we purchased to enjoy at home.
This trip was a gift from my family for my 70th birthday … a trip I’ve wanted all my life. Of the ten glorious days we spent in Italy, and our accommodations in Venice and Rome in addition to the farmhouse, I can easily say we enjoyed our time at the farmhouse best of all for all the reasons that make a stay away from home so special.
Thank you so much for your hospitality and caring Simone and Luca. I can’t wait to go back. :)
We had a fantastic time and we couldn't fault either the accommodation or the location. Two families shared the house and really you couldn't ask for better, it is a really comfortable place to stay. The bedrooms are large, as too are the kitchen and both living spaces, all four bathrooms are also very well equipped and everything in the house worked. It was very clean on arrival and the owner could not have been more helpful.
It is also on a really lovely site, the swimming pool and grounds were well cared for and being within walking distance of Montecarlo, a lovely little hilltop town with excellent restaurants and a great atmosphere, it stopped any arguments about whose turn it was to drive home.
I have rated the property 5 stars only because 6 stars is not available to select.
If you like Italian wine & food, you will love this place.
We were given a gift of wine & olive oil on arrival & card entitling us to 10% discount at the Osteria Del Vecchio.
The house is surrounded by olive trees with a nice living room and a separate loft space enabling children and adults to have their own areas.
The pool is 50 meters from the house and has fabulous views to Montecatini & Pescia.
Luca’s helpfulness cannot be overstated. However, all of the staff (including Sylvia’s cat) were very friendly.
We were made to feel very welcome and now that I am back home, I miss the atmosphere.
Montecarlo is a charming village with great views and nice restaurants.
I recommend the oil & wine tour offered by Luca. At the end of the tour, we were given a bottle of his best wine which we shared with Thomas & his wife who were staying at the 3 bed holiday house.
The Osteria being so close (just 300 meters) is very convenient. However, it is necessary to walk on a road that has some traffic but no lighting. Walking on the side of the road is not a good option as there is a small ditch which to the delight of my family, I fell in to. It would be great if the owners could make a lighted path to link to the Osteria.
It would be useful to have plastic glasses so that drinks could be taken to the pool without fear of a breakage.
It was necessary to reboot the Sat TV several times. It would be great if this was more reliable.
There is a large supermarket in Porcari 10 mins drive open until 20:30.
There is a large free car park (except on Wed) at Via Paperelli in Pisa. 15 min walk to Piazza Miracoli.
There is a large car park in Lucca at Via Tagliate di Sant’Anna €6 all day. The restaurants in the Piazza Anfiteatro are reasonably priced given the location. We enjoyed the atmosphere in Lucca very much.
There are 2 large car parks close together in Florence at Piazzale Montelungo and Viale Filippo Strozzi. €1.50 per hr max €18 per day within easy walking of the sites & outside of the ZTL. The All'Antico Vinaio on Via dei Neri (less than 5 min from the Palazzo Vecchio) we had a large selection of meats, cheese and bread for €40 which was easily enough for 5 adults. This was a fantastic meal and I recommend that you add this to your itinerary. We found Florence too busy with crowds of people.
The funicular railway to Montecatini Alto is good fun and the views are amazing.
We (2 families with each having a 2-year-old child) enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. The sleeping rooms are quite big and each room has its own clean bath. The equipment in the kitchen is sufficient to cook wonderful meals. The pool is big enough for swimming and was cleaned quite everyday by the staff. Furthermore, it is save for small children as the pool is surrounded by a fence. And last but not least the service by the staff and especially Lucca was nothing but 100% perfect. We never enjoyed such a support during a holiday. Thank you very much!
