First Xmas in Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

Our family came up from the bay area to spend Xmas in Tahoe for the first time. This house was perfect for our four adults and one child. We got to bring our dog which was also awesome. Though there is no fenced yard, there is plenty of room in the back for dogs to explore. The neighbors are all nice and dog friendly as well. The sauna was a real treat and the beach across the street was just amazing. We brought games but there were a bunch already there so next time we do not have to haul ours up with us. There were flay screens everywhere except the room with the bunk beds. No big deal as we tried not to watch much television. The internet is a bit slow so we were lucky not to have to do any remote work or schoolwork. Not a big deal either. The huge tub upstairs was divine seeing as I am 6' 1" and rarely find a tub big enough to accommodate me. The location of the property was a little confusing. We came in at night and our GPS put the property further down the street but Allee was super helpful when I called a bit confused. She was really helpful through the whole process and I would highly recommend dealing with her. You will not be disappointed. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, a beautiful house and the only thing we could have asked for was snow! Next year we will hopefully be able to do it again.

Great all-seasons getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had 7 people staying at this house for a ski weekend, and we absolutely loved it! Squaw and Alpine we nearby, and Heavanly was only 1hr drive away. The house was cozy and comfortable, and the hot tub was a nice touch for the cold nights. Being 2 blocks from the lake would be the kicker for a summer rental. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, Cozy and Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin layout was perfect for 3 couples to enjoy our own spacious bedrooms/bathrooms with plenty of room to cook our meals in the large stocked kitchen (went to Safeway upon arrival). Some of the kitchen pots and utensils could be a little updated and old ones tossed out. But, dinnerware was plentiful and Cuisinart coffee maker was great! The wine bar was also very nice with stored wine glasses. We spent most of the time in the large family room in front of a fire or in the hot tub and sauna since we stayed during the incredible winter storm last weekend, and we were snowed in part of the time! Placing our drinks in the snow packed 'walls' was fun too. One couple skied at nearby Homewood but conditions were rough. All The decks were piled high with snow pack so little visibility out the windows, but so was the entire region! The only drawback was no WiFi which may have been caused by the weather. We also enjoyed stopping at Sugar Pine Park for a stroll by the mansion, and took a few brisk walks down to the lake right across the street to take advantage of some incredible photo opps. Overall we had a great time and would recommend the property!

Beautiful home!

  • 4 of 5

My family and I stayed in the home over Christmas. Very nice home, only issue is that when you stay over Christmas, it's not decorated for Christmas, so one must bring something to remind you it's the holiday. Not the owners issue, it was just overlooked on our behalf. Also, because it was wet, debris gets brought in on the floors, which are beautiful, but there is nothing adequate to clean up messes. I'm sure that is because people remove if left. We brought our own vacuum, which was totally no bother to us. The floors are too beautiful not to be kept while staying.

Great place for an extended family visit.

  • 4 of 5

The experience was very good. The house was very clean, plenty of linens, the kitchen well stocked (we cooked Thanksgiving dinner). The reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5; sauna wasn't working and we didn't know until we arrived there and tried to use it. It would have been nice to be informed. Also the beds!! King size in master bedroom was very very used and lumpy. The queen sized beds in both downstairs bedrooms were very much the same, lumpy and well worned. The room with 2 sets of bunk beds were very small beds for even teenagers to sleep comfortably. Despite the bed issues, I would love to stay there again. Hopefully they can remedy the beds.

Beautiful house great location

  • 5 of 5

This house was in such a great location on the West shore of Lake Tahoe. Close enough to everything yet you still feel like you are tucked away in the woods. The house was fully loaded with everything you need. Televisions in every room(big hit with the kids), master jacuzzi bathtub in master bedroom and Sauna made for great recovery for our achy muscles after our hikes and mountain biking. Very comfortable linens, lots of towels and a really large washer and dryer to keep everything in order. I will definitely be renting this cabin again.
