Perfect cozy getaway near Acadia and Bar Harbor

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time in Maine and we chose Acadia Haven to provide our family a central location to relax during our stay. I can't say enough wonderful things about this lovely home in the woods. It is picturesque and incredibly cozy.

Everything was exactly as described in the listing. Steve was very prompt with all communications and requests. We spent the majority of our time throughout the week in Acadia with a few trips into the town of Bar Harbor. Acadia Haven was the perfect option for us - removed enough to be secluded, but only a short drive from everything we wanted to do. We had four adults and two children in the house and had plenty of room to relax. The kitchen in particular is a highlight of this rental, a huge plus on a family vacation where we cook more meals than we eat out in restaurants.

Throughout the week, our entire family repeatedly commented on how much they loved the house. Needless to say, when we return to Acadia (and we will!) we will definitely stay at Acadia Haven again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our go-to-retreat on Mt Desert Island!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay! There was ample room to stage our family reunion in this comfortable yet well-appointed house. From the porch to the patio and garden areas there is space for quiet morning yoga and boisterous gatherings at the same time! We enjoyed hiking, sailing, swimming, shopping, cycling and garden tours on the island...and of course a good lobster feast! Steve and Rose have created a beautiful home in a peaceful environment. They saw to all our needs and were so personable; they made our stay magical. Convenient location, wonderful alternative to expensive, crowded lodging in Bar Harbor. Highly recommend!

Tranquility!

  • 5 of 5

We were truly fortunate to have chosen Acadia Haven as the place for our family reunion. It's a lovely home in a beautiful, peaceful setting, and the owners were great to work with. We had everything we needed to feel at home, right down to the fresh blueberries! The location lends itself to fun excursions all over the island, yet provides the seclusion we needed to unwind from our busy lives. I highly recommend this vacation spot, and hope to return again!
