About Tanya Andrews
We have another property in France that we have rented through this website for many years. I am English and have lived in Fulham for years before we moved out west near Marlborough . We had a house in Hurlingham road which we sold a few years ago then I saw this flat.
Tanya Andrews purchased this Apartment in 2012
Why Tanya Andrews chose Fulham
Great Location near to Central London. very good public transport links. Safe area full of restaurants and bars.Lots of green open spaces and safe for children to play in the park. Easy parking with plenty of spaces. Pay and Display £2.20 per hr 9-5pm
What makes this Apartment unique
Two balconies looking south over the park. Double glazed windows throughout. Newly refurbished to a very high standard. Easy parking outside the door. Park opposite with tennis courts and children’s play area.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great location and very comfortable accommodation
Situated just minutes from the kings road and yet in a quiet location with lovely view over the park. Very comfortable double bed. The room has a blind and curtains so nice and dark, and quiet for a good sleep. The flat is well equipped with everything we needed. The new coop on Kings road was very convenient and close. I can highly recommend this flat to other travellers.
I Really enjoyed my stay, everything was amazing, great location and good restaurants near by. I must say Tanya was a great host. I will definitely be back soon.
Would not stay in the flat again.
A bit worn around the edges - is more worn than pictures depict. Had significant issues with basics: Key didn't work on arrival - contacted owner by phone and had to bother neighbors to get into the building - we eventually got into the flat after we stood on street with suitcases for considerable time (over 30 minutes) on a drizzly evening. Not a good start. Turns out the wrong keys were left for us in the lock box. Sheets dirty - owner told us by phone (again) where to find clean sheets, so we changed the sheets. Owner visited the flat the following day, cleaned common area entry (was dirty) and left us a nice bottle of wine to apologize. While owner was responsive to (major) issues, the issues could have easily been avoided with better, hands-on management. WiFi mostly didn't work. We gave up and stopped asking for anything. Good hot water, however.
We had a problem with the lock on the Friday and had to install a new one as an emergency and had have keys cut for everyone in the block. I left a working set in there for the tenants but had to leave some there for the ground floor also. Unfortunately it seems that one of their 2 keys did not work so they just took one of my set. This was out of my control but was quickly resolved by ringing the bell of the ground floor flat, the ones who took the key!
They then called me to say the sheets were dirty. I was horrified and told them to leave it out for me. I looked at it carefully the next day and there was nothing. I kept it for my husband to look at and he could see nothing.
I went round with a bottle of wine to say sorry for the key incident. They told me they were having a lovely stay despite the difficult start.
They enjoyed the bottle of wine with friends.
Since they have left the corridor has been repainted and the stair carpet repaired. .
Nice Flat in Fulham
Great location near the Parson's Green tube stop in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of conveniences close by. Reasonably priced. Responsive owner.
Be aware that the rental is advertised as sleeps 4 however the sofa bed is old and uncomfortable. We have an 8 year old son who didn't have a problem with it but I would expect a larger person would not be happy sleeping on it.
Thank you for your note. The sofa bed is just 4 years old. However due to the very tight staircase this was the only one that could be bought in pieces and made in the flat. Since then I have located another company who make them with removable arms that may fit up the staircase. I will look in to it further now. I have not had anyone else comment so imagine they have had issues with it.
I am glad the rest of your stay was a success
Perfect for London Visit
My husband, two teenage daughters, and I enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment. My husband and I slept in the master bedroom and our daughters slept on the pull-out couch. The space was perfect for us.
The apartment was clean and well appointed. The kitchen has everything you need. We made breakfast each morning in the apartment and then ate dinner locally--there are many excellent dining options in Fullham. In addition, Tanya supplies numerous converter plugs. We could never find the blow dryer, and I mention this because to save space with packing I do not travel with one.
One of the best thing about this apartment is its great location. There are so many neighborhoods in London that it is hard to know which neighborhood to choose. The neighborhood is very charming. We were surprised about the number of families living in the area, but it also had a thriving night life. The neighborhood is very quiet, we slept with the windows open each night. In addition to being a nice city, the apartment is in close walking distance to the grocery store (the Waitrose was wonderful), the tube, and many restaurants. Because there were four of us, we found it to be very easy to use Uber.
Please be advised that the apartment is on the second floor, with a steep narrow staircase, as is typical in Europe. We had only carry-on sized suitcases, so it was fine navigating the stairs.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay. The apartment was easy to find, easy to get into, and everything worked fine. When we return to London, we would consider staying here again. Thank you Tanya for making this wonderful apartment available.
Great location - place a bit funky
We loved the location and being close the the Parson's Green tube station. And the local restaurants were wonderful. But we were expecting a bit cleaner and more put together. The entry hallway and stairs leading to the flat (2nd floor) looked as if they had not been cleaned in months. I understand that area is technically outside of the flat, but given it is the first thing the guest sees (and walks through multiple times each day) it really makes an impression. The couch needs a good upholstery cleaning as well. It was a bit grungy. The view from the bedroom and bathroom windows into the back yards of the adjacent homes was really fun, with lots of flowers...especially roses. The street below in the front can be busy, but it was not that noticeable. The service was fine as well.
We are just about to do up the common parts outside which will improve the look when you first arrive. The front door was changed recently and the passage way floor redone.
I will ask the new tenant in the top floor flat to clean her stairs.
I am glad everything else worked well. The inside of the flat is cosy and the views magnificent so hope that made up for a dirt step outside!
Opposite Hurlingham Park which has 3 tennis courts but in the middle of London.
