Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with stunning sea views from nearly every room

This wonderful duplex penthouse apartment utilises it's elevated position to offer spectacular views across St Ives Bay. With it's own private terrace it is the perfect escape for both couples and families that seek a luxury holiday home close to beaches.

Internally the apartment is a delightful, spacious, modern penthouse with wifi, terrace and sea views from nearly every room. Property features include a modern, fully equipped kitchen with French doors leading out on to a private terrace with sea views. A dining room with Juliet balcony. A light and spacious living room and conservatory again with French doors leading out to the terrace. A shower room and hallway with stairs leading up to a beautiful master bedroom suite and second bedroom with twin beds. The main family bathroom has a separate shower cubicle, bath, WC, & basin.

Externally there is a private, spacious terrace with incredible sea views perfect for Al Fresco dining, sunbathing or watching the sunset. There is also the added benefit of a garage.

Local Facilities: The nearest supermarket is a Tesco which is less than a 5 minute drive off the main A3074 road in to St Ives. There are also banks, hairdressers, a post office, newsagents and general stores all a short walk away. During the day when on the beach there is a café, shop and food outlet.

Attractions: A great location for couples and smaller families. Carbis Bay really does give you the best of both worlds. The peace and quiet of Compass Point yet only a short distance away from the vibrant town of St Ives.

Further a field Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Lands End, beautiful Sennen Cove (surfing), Padstow (cooking courses with Rick Stein), Port Isaac (filming of TV show Doc Martin), Newquay (indoor Water World), & St Austell (Eden Project) are all within easy reach either by Car or Train.

Other Activities: Live theatre, cinema, Tate Gallery, museums, bars, restaurants, clubs, and shopping.

The penthouse apartment is situated on the second floor, and access is via a flight of 29 steps. There is also one flight of stairs internally with 12 steps as the apartment is a duplex. There is a security video entrance system. The apartment comes with it's own garage for an average sized car (length 4.7m x width 2.10m x height 1.9m). There are also visitor and disabled parking spaces available. We provide complimentary wireless internet for all guests. There is a useful information folder including a list of local restaurants, comprehensive tourist information and train timetable all to enable you to make the most of your holiday. ****GREAT OPTION FOR LARGER FAMILIES **** We are now able to accommodate larger families of up to 8 guests in 2 adjacent penthouses. Just Brilliant

great apartment with all the facilities. Outside space with terrace and conservatory. lovely views across Carbis Bay and the beach is a 4 min walk away. Train station a minute away, but this will not put you off as the noise is minimal, plus you will be glad that its there as its a 3 min journey into St Ives.

Can not recommend this property enough. Lucy thinks of everything and is so helpful. give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Fabulous Accommodation

Superb location with beautiful sea views. The apartment was everything you could have wished for and it was a joy to come back to every day as it was so comfortable. The photographs really do reflect the accommodation unlike some we have visited in the past. Can't wait to return.

Friendly Notice!

This place is kind of a real secret gem.

Everything there you need, as described on HomeAway.

We liked the perfect equipped kitchen with washing machine, living room with flat tv, observatory, balcony with outdoor furniture, wifi∫ernet access. Everything was clean and all well organized.

You will love the sea views from the apartment. They are real cool.

We enjoyed them especially on the balcony at breakfast!!!

Also the owner Lucy, was very, very kind and helpful.

Beginning from the arrival info she provided up to some questions we had during our stay...that were of course answered very promptly.

Also the place is a good starting point for exploring Carbis Bay, St. Ives and Cornwall.

It is a 5 min walk away from the nice Carbis Bay beach.

The train station for trains to St. Ives is almost at your front door.

The same with the coastal path that gives a nice stroll with sea views to St. Ives.

First you'll see is Porthminster Beach...worth looking into the Porthminster Beach Cafe for breakfast and dinner.

Or enter Beck's Fish and Chips restaurant 10min walks away from the apartment.

Put your name on the table waiting list, enjoy a drink at the bar while waiting for your table, and enjoy once placed the nice food and hospitality.

The Badger Inn pub provides a nice beer garden.

And a golf swing away is the challenging West Cornwall Golf Club.

As a summary we liked the place a lot. :-)

We can recommend it and will come back.

31 Compass Point

Just completed our 7th or 8th visit. This apartment is great in all seasons. The views from the conservatory / terrace are outstanding. The property lends itself to both summer and winter use.

St. Ives is just 5 minutes on the train and there are no issues with parking. You can also go via the coastal path, and the length from Carbis Bay to St. Ives is well surfaced. There are many walks using the apartment as a base, and it is well suited for touring to other locations.

There is always something on in St. Ives but the apartment is quiet and relaxing if you just want to get away from it all. All in all it is a great base for a holiday in a great location.

A fabulous holiday

We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at 31 Compass Point. The accommodation was excellent with every modern convenience and I loved the fantastic sea views.

The location was ideal. We were able to enjoy a coastal walk into St Ives with a great choice of places to eat. It was also convenient to have the train station so close.

It is a place to return to again and again.

A little gem

A wonderful well appointed apartment with stunning sea views.

Ideal location - we particularly liked being so close to the little railway station giving easy access to St Ives with no parking problems. It only takes a few minutes too. For a change the walk into St Ives is very enjoyable.

Even on a rainy day you can sit in the conservatory and watch the sea and eat your own cream tea ( as we did!).

Everything in the apartment is of extremely high quality.

We found it very quiet and relaxing.

A holiday experience second to none.

We will definitely re-visit!

The holiday deposit is non refundable & is charged at 1/3rd of the full rate & is payable with personal cheque or direct bank transfer (for non UK guests bank transfer only). The balance is then payable no later than 8 weeks prior to your holiday. Full rental cost is payable for bookings made less than 8 weeks prior.

We also can accept online payments but please note the terms are slightly different with a 50% non refundable deposit due straight away and then the remaining 50% is due again 60 days prior to your holiday start date. Full rental cost is payable for bookings made less than 60 days prior.

Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
