About Donald and Maria Folts
Pleasant Valley Hideaway country cottage has been in our family for years. It began as a hunting cabin when we were in our teens and has evolved into a comfortable get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday chores in our golden years. You can capture a view of deer, turkeys, ducks, fox, and various other wildlife from the deck. Fish for bass from our on-site pond and grill them up on the attached deck.
Why Donald and Maria Folts chose Milford
Pleasant Valley Hideaway is country living at it's best with a deck for barbecuing and a pond to fish. Situated near the baseball attractions, the cottage is perfect for a family vacation. Do your sightseeing by day and relax in peace and quiet at night. Hiking, fishing and hunting are as close as stepping out your front door. Our cottage is adjacent to 165 acres of woodland just waiting for you to explore. The beautiful fall foliage is a sight to be seen.

Comfortable, secluded and convenient.
The cottage was clean, comfortable, secluded and an easy drive to Cooperstown Dreams Park, stores and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Super private. There are only two other homes nearby, but you cannot see them at all from this cute house. This place is in the middle of nowhere, no traffic congestion anywhere near. Just lovely and peaceful surroundings. When the owners say this is rural, it is rural. The villages in the area are rural. We loved it. We were just two senior couples, but can see how the is a family oriented home for lots of kids. We came for week 10 of Cooperstown All Star Village just 15 minutes south (Cooperstown Dreams Park is also just 15 minutes East and the town of Cooperstown is just 20 minutes North). Our shared grandson played his heart out as did the rest of his team. What a great experience. Spending time on the deck overlooking the pond was restful and relaxing the little bit of time we had as we were mostly at the fields watching, eating or shopping. The kitchen is equipped well enough - we only had breakfast and coffee there. We've wanted to visit upstate NY for many years and we were not disappointed. Coming from No. Calif where summer landscape is golden brown and dry to this lush green area was utterly refreshing.
We'll be back to Upstate in 2021.
Great place, great location, great stay
Had a great week here from the little touches to the great location. Beds were comfortable, loved the pond outside and the large deck.

Everything was awesome! The owners were on top of everything. My whole family enjoyed their stay! No complaints, just wish I had time to do some fishing at the property!
