Casa Mar is a beautifully furnished first floor apartment is set in the charming town of Foz Do Arelho. The apartment has 1 large terrace overlooking the sea and the beach, which is ideal for relaxing and sun bathing.The apartment block which houses Casa Mar comprises of 10 apartments all overlooking the sea and with easy access to the beach on foot. The main town of Foz do Arelho is a short 2 minute drive away where you can also access the lagoon and other beach areas which that are alive with activity with its water sports, bars and restaurants.

The two bedrooms have full-size double beds that take two adults. There may be the possibility for us to provide a folding bed that would accommodate an extra person, so please ask at the time of booking if this is something you may need. All the bedrooms are on one level and are well presented, clean and fresh. The apartment receives plenty of fresh cool sea breezes during the summer, so you have the choice to keep cool in the shade but also take in the sun on the terrace should that be desired.

- Fully fitted kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and all other necessities such as kettle and toaster etc.
Living rooms / Lounge:

This apartment has been in our family since the late 1980s and used to be where we spent many of our summer vacations until recently when we simply outgrew the apartment. We have been renting very successfully for the past 10 add years but mostly to Portuguese guests so this year we decided to reach out to others as well.
I think the apartment is just perfect for small families, honeymooning couples, semi-retired folk or just a group of friends who want to be by the sea.
The proximity to the water is absolutely the most appealing aspect of the property. You can literally be on the beach in a matter of 2 minutes of you walk down the road. We tend to attract guests even in the quieter periods, partly because it is so affordable. It is so close to the amenities, you do not need a car and then it is really peaceful if you need some down time.
Foz do Arelho sits in one of the most impressive estuaries in Portugal where the river meets the sea is a huge lagoon with sandy beaches and water sports on the lagoon that are guaranteed to keep everyone enthralled. Foz has come to so well known for its wonderful balance between what most would call a high quality sea side resort, but without the noise, traffic or crowds one would normally expect. As a consequence, it still retains the charm and character of its origins as a little fishing village till it gradually transformed over the past 20 or so years into the chic and very attractive place it has become.
The village of Foz do Arelho is just a few minutes’ walk away with some small supermarkets, a bank with cash machine, taxi rank and bars and restaurants. The main beach is a 3 minute walk away and is lined with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. The larger town of Caldas da Rainha is just 8km away and it is here you will find larger supermarkets and retail outlets for the more serious shoppers.
The medieval castle of Obidos is just 8 km away; here you will find a wide variety of keepsakes and other treasures to remember this wonderful little place on the sea.
The Praia D'el Rey golf course, which was voted European Golf resort of the year 2007, is a 30 minute drive away and the Atlantic Golf course located in Peniche is about a 30 minute drive too.

End of vacation cleaning is not included in the rental price but charged extra @ Euro €55/-. Please ask the owner about this if you have any doubts.
The cost of electricity, water and gas are all included in the rental price during the peak season. There is an extra winter and cold weather heating charge @ GB £15/- per night. winter and cold weather heating is an optional extra.
There is a 30% initial booking deposit that is payable by bank transfer immediately upon confirming the reservation. The balance rental amount of 70% is payable 4 weeks before arrival. Changeover day is Saturday during the High and Peak seasons, but flexible other periods. There is also a refundable breakage deposit of Euro €200/- payable in cash on arrival. Refund will be done on departure.
