About the property

4 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 8

This is a very special house. Situated on a quiet, dead-end street just off the beach, our house has 4 bedrooms and is a fully-equipped year-round house that sleeps 6-8. The house has been owned by the same family since it was built in the 1930's. The interior is knotty pine and has a large fireplace; the kitchen and baths have been renovated and updated. Perfect for a family group. Pine Point is by far the best beach in Maine - it is part of a 7-mile stretch of wide white sandy beach.

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

From the time I was a toddler my family, including grandparents, parents and siblings, vacationed in Pine Point every summer. Even now as adults, my sister and I return every year with our mother. We have been truly spoiled since we found this house over 5 years ago. It is just steps to beach, which means no more searching for parking or using crowded public beaches and bathrooms. If you got too much sun the day before or weather might not allow for time at the beach, no problem. You are just a short drive to boutique shopping, antiques, nature trails, amusement parks and more! Once you've tasted the fresh catch seafood everything else will pale in comparison. This spacious family home has every convenience, including Wi-Fi!

"Didn't want to return home"

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six really enjoyed this house. It is spacious, clean and practical. The beach is easily accessible, quiet and beautiful. The owners were very attentive, yet not invading. Pine point is a charming and interesting place.

Looking forward to next summer.

Perfect place!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I spent our honeymoon there and we are definitely going to make it a special place for us to come back! The home is very charming, vast and has a warm feel to it. It is comfortable, clean and we enjoyed it. The owner is very nice and easy to get in touch with. It is super close to the beautiful beach, it is quiet and peaceful. There is a beautiful fireplace! It was exactly what we expected, the pictures and information really translate well the soul of the house. Old Orchard beach is 2 minutes away by car, you have seafood restaurants nearby. Truly nice!

Ideal Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

My family has grown up with vacations in Pine Point but this home quickly became our absolute favorite a few years ago! It is beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home and all anyone needs to bring are personal belongings The bathrooms and kitchen are very clean with all the modern amenities. The bedrooms have plenty of closet and bureau space. There is a lot of room for a family to stretch out in this house without feeling like you are always crowded together. The location to the beach is fantastic, literally a few steps, which makes it perfect for coming and going. Also, this stretch of beach is by far the most clean, most relaxing and least crowded that we have ever encountered. We enjoy every year seeing the neighbors and the returning vacationers in the other homes on the street. Also the proximity to shopping, restaurants, Portland events, boardwalk and activities for children is excellent. The owners are also very accessible and friendly and are all always willing to help or answer questions.

Wonderful Home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent an extended stay in this lovely house, and found it to be just what we needed - lots of quiet relaxation in a beautiful setting. The home is nicely furnished, well-equipped in the kitchens and bathrooms, and spacious enough for a family with children. The outside space is also very usable and it was such a treat to have spectacular ocean views!

Pine Point is still an active fishing, lobstering and clamming village. The beach is perfect for surfcasting, swimming and sunbathing. There are no drop-offs and the surf is usually very tame - this is a very child-friendly beach. The area offers many lobster pounds and seafood restaurants.

Local activities include deep sea fishing, whale watching, amusement and water parks, golf, and tennis. also nearby is a large saltmarsh and nature preserve offering scenic canoe and kayak trips. Within a 15 minute drive is Portland with its many fine restaurants, museums, galleries, and historic Old Port. Within 30-40 minutes are the outlets of Kittery and Freeport (LL Bean) and picturesque villages of Kennebunkport and Ogunquit.
