Providing the perfect retreat for water sports enthusiasts, Creekside Cottage in Mylor offers an idyllic waterfront setting for families and friends to enjoy in all seasons!
With a sedate and tranquil charm to lap up from its own sunny waterfront garden, the far reaching views couldn’t be more picturesque, with bobbing boats on the horizon and the rolling mounds of unspoilt Cornish countryside beyond.
Inside the delightful cottage has been sympathetically modernised to offer immaculately presented accommodation ideal for groups of up to six guests. The ground floor reception rooms all flow effortlessly and provide the perfect venue for indoor holiday relaxing and entertaining.
A pretty sitting area features beautiful views of the passing yachts on the creek for a restful setting in which to cuddle up on the leather sofas and enjoy a movie on the smart internet TV and DVD player provided. Timeless family board games can also be enjoyed here, with the ambient warmth of a roaring fire painting an idyllic scene in the wintertime.
A large archway opens out into a stunning dining area awash with natural light and enhanced by a chic and romantic country-style kitchen diner. A solid pine table comfortably sits up to 6 for indoor dinner parties, whilst a large wood burning stove radiates plenty of warmth in the wintertime to keep guests warm and snug.
Leading on from the dining area, the bright and contemporary spot lit kitchen features an uplifting vaulted ceiling and is equipped with all the must-have appliances to complement your self-catering stay.
From the stylish kitchen a stable door opens out into a charming secure back garden, furnished with an outdoor dining area for enjoying relaxed alfresco meals in the sunshine. The family-friendly ground floor also features a contemporary fitted power shower with a useful utility room equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer and useful hanging space for wetsuits.
The contemporary style accommodation of the cottage continues to the first floor, with a total of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms provided. Tastefully furnished in a fresh nautical palette, each bedroom offers a serene place in which to revive the senses during your stay, with direct views of the creek to 3 of the 4 bedrooms.
Couples can easily relax in the master bedroom, with King size bed and TV. The room itself offers tranquil garden views to enjoy from the back of the cottage and is perfectly complemented by a chic and modern en-suite with power shower.
A further bedroom ideal for couples can also be found overlooking Mylor Creek, with a double bed and TV temptingly provided for guilt-free lie-ins. A bright and welcoming single bedroom leads off from the bedroom with both enjoying shared access to a modern fitted family bathroom.
An equally tasteful fourth bedroom with single bed also overlooks the beautiful waterside, to complete the stylish and immaculately presented sleeping accommodation. Outside the secluded and child-friendly lawn to the rear of the cottage makes it the ideal spot for kids and pets to play whilst to the front of the cottage a sunny lawn leads directly to the waterfront, for an idyllic venue in which to relax and entertain.
Water sport enthusiasts and sailors can fully embrace their hobbies here, with ample space for a small boat and trailer provided next to the allocated parking space, alongside easy access to the public slipway for launching small boats and canoes. Boat, canoe and SUP hire can all be enjoyed alongside sailing lessons and private yacht charter at the nearby Yacht Harbour in Mylor, ensuring water sport fans will be kept more than satisfied!
The beautiful village of Mylor also offers many great coastal walks for taking in the spectacular range of wildlife as well as offering close proximity to the beaches and attractions of Falmouth and to the convenient selection of local amenities on the doorstep, for a truly enjoyable stay in South Cornwall.

Amazing waterfront house - the perfect holiday!
We loved this house. The waterside location was stunning and it was very peaceful, yet just a short walk along the riverbank to Mylor Yacht Harbour which has a great selection of restaurants and a lovely cafe. Accommodation was presented to an exceptionally high standard - thoroughly recommended.
We stayed here for a week during half-term with Grandma and three kids. It was just perfect. The view of the creek is just beautiful, especially from the bedrooms. The back garden is huge and great for kids exploring. The cottage itself is as beautiful as the photos make it look. Everything is top-of-the-line - from appliances to bathrooms to lighting.
Two things to be aware of that might not be evident from the listing are: (1) the road that the property is on (Church Road) runs between the house and the front garden. It does not detract from the setting, but it does mean that you can't just allow kids to go into the front garden alone. Although the road doesn't have much traffic, it is very narrow and the delivery vans move pretty quickly, and (2) there is no landline and no mobile phone signal in the house, BUT, if you walk down to the creek, you can get a signal, at least on Vodafone and 3.
Regardless, we'd definitely stay here again!
Mylor is a thriving village with a well stocked shop, a traditional butchers and fishmongers selling the freshest fish and seafood directly from the boats. The Yacht Harbour is within easy walking distance and boasts 2 restaurants, a cafe and plenty of opportunity to get out on the water. The historic village of Flushing is just 2 miles away with its friendly pubs and pretty pastel coloured houses and Falmouth is just across the bay.

A 25% deposit is required to secure bookings. Balances are due 8 weeks before arrival. Weekly changeover day is Saturday. An additional charge of £25 per dog per week will be applied where appropriate. Late availability offers often available - call for details.
