|Minimum Stay||5 nights|
Our villa offers an ideal combination of elegant simplicity and historical charm which create a unique experience and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests.
Located just five minutes away from The Hilltown Cortona.
Along with a private swimming pool, this holiday accommodation, immersed within the Tuscan countryside, offers peaceful views and a very family-friendly atmosphere.
Originally the building was a thousand-year-old historical tower but it was converted into a unique Tuscan villa by the lords of this land during the 17th century.
Just a few years ago, it was tastefully restored into a charming and unique villa for rent with every attention to detail and history by the current owners and finally it underwent a full renovation to the luxury villa it is today.
The property includes high beam ceilings, traditional rich tiles of the Tuscan valley, upscale furnishings, large bathrooms with modern shower heads. No detail went unnoticed in the selection of this elegant Tuscan villa.
The current owners have also worked hard to unveil pieces of the original frescoes which once covered the walls, keeping them mainly covered and protected as they have been for the last hundred years but adding a highlight to every room.
The Villa is surrounded by the typical Tuscan landscape with an olive grove and outdoor amenities which include a lovely swimming pool (12m x 6m), shaded parking, and sitting/dining areas which seat up to 14 people, providing views of the vineyard-covered hills.
The main dining terrace offers a pergola-covered table with BBQ, the gardens accentuate the nearby villa which towers over the brilliant countryside.
The views are spectacular and an ideal example of the beauty of Tuscany.
All windows are screened, sleeping suites offer individually controlled air conditioning and flat-screen televisions will allow you to keep up to date with US, UK, French, and other national news / financial networks.
All services are owner managed and custom tailored to our guest's needs!
Your stay also includes some simple food gifts from the owner which you will find at your arrival. If you'd like to have more wines, there is a wine/cellar from which you may choose.
I was born and raised right here, in Cortona!
I'm a 26-year-old professional Sommelier. Wine is my job and my passion and has been a catalyst for my worldwide travels.
I have two younger sisters: Chiara age 16 and Alice who is 6 years old. I am a typical protective big brother and I love them very much.
Chiara and I manage my family's property in Cortona.
We will make sure your stay with us is as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
We will meet and welcome you in person.
We both have a wealth of local knowledge on places to eat and visit and can't wait to share this amazing region of Tuscany with you.
My family and I wanted to start up this simple but unique business to share with people the product of our hard work. All details are chosen to fulfil the perfect Italian family dream holiday.
Me and 5 of my friends stayed for 10 days last month after watching the Giro d'Italia bike race for 6 days. The villa was better than advertised and more beautiful than the photos show. The villa had everything we needed, including a wine "closet" full of local and regional wines selected by our host Davide. Each suite was large with a private bath. The grounds were lush and green with olive trees, herb garden and strawberries. The large pool area was well done and private. Davide was an excellent host who shared his vast knowledge of the area. In addition, using his expertise as a sommelier he set up two wine tastings for us at vineyards in the area. The wines were excellent! Davide and his family went out of their way to ensure he had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
I visited Cortona in 2015 and had the chance to stay at this beautiful Villa located nearby. Davide was an incredible host who has grown up here and had an extensive knowledge of the area. In addition, his expertise as a sommelier lead me to experience some of the most amazing wines of the region. The villa is an enchanting, historic building with original frescoes inside. A lot of hard work has gone into renovations so that guests may have every convenience. The views from the home exceeded my ideas of the beauty of Tuscany and were breathtaking to wake up to every morning. Visiting Cortona was the highlight of my trip to Italy and the added, unforeseen value of staying outside of the town provided an extremely positive and unique experience which I highly recommend.
We spent there a wonderful summer. Not so far from Cortona, the house is comfortable and fresh . Relaxing time on the pool . And unforgettable memories with this nice and charming family. Lot of activities to do, Davide or Lorenzo are really helpful. See you soon guys .
You know when you see the photos of a place and you know when you turn up it won't be that nice??? Well, this place is EVEN BETTER! Beautiful house, amazing grounds and the welcome we received was second to none. Let's rewind to the booking process - from the moment we signed on the dotted line, Davide (the owner's son) couldn't have been more helpful and kind. I felt like he became our friend even before we got there! When we did arrive, Chiara (the Owner's daughter) and Lorenzo (the Owner himself) met us, even though it was past midnight, and showed us around the house and left us some appetizers and wine to enjoy. The house is very well renovated, immaculately clean, the furniture is perfect by being kept rustic ( yet the bathrooms are nice and tastefully modern) and the whole effect is that you're staying in an ancient 5 star stately home. The kitchen is typically small as are most European kitchens but very well-equipped with everything you will need for your stay. The pool area is beautiful and spacious. One night we were asked to go for pizza with Lorenzo and his family, all cooked by his wife Sara in their pizza oven. Wonderful food and hospitality! We are trying to think of ways we can come back to this place to see Lorenzo and his family and to stay in this place which is, in all honesty, our idea of paradise. Nearby Cortona was a great place to visit (we had a lovely walk to the top of the hill where the fort is located), as was Montepulciano. The trains to Rome and Florence were easy to get from the station at Terontola (about a 15 minute drive) - the parking was free too. Do not hesitate to book your vacation at this house - it, and the family who own it, are totally fabulous. It was truly the best vacation ever.
We had the best time here! The villa is beautiful and the hosts couldn't be more gracious. I have never had a better experience travelling internationally, and would recommend staying here to anyone who will listen...unless its when I am coming back.
I was in town for a few days for a wedding and we had the most wonderful time. The house and property are stunning and Davide and his family are fantastic hosts. Can't wait to go back again!
