About Terri

I am English, my husband is French and we have been renting our home in Paris for 5 years (property 10769) through Homeaway. We bought our house in the Ardèche in 2012 and would love to rent it when we are not there ourselves, as we do with our apartment in Paris.

Terri purchased this house in 2012

Why Terri chose Vals les Bains area

This part of the Ardèche remains unspoilt, although there are tourists in the region in the season. The house is 12 minutes away from Aubenas, but up in the hills at 400 metres, so cooler in the summer. The countryside, the river and the walks are stunning and the house and pool, make a wonderfully calm place to relax.

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with the views, with the very modern design of the inside of the house, which the architect cleverly managed to combine with the character of the farm that it used to be.

Classic french loaction, stunning views, relax....

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable stay. Terri was a pleasure to deal with throughout.

The property is clean and far more spacious than it appears in the pictures, in fact they simply don't do it justice. The view takes you away. The pool is great for all the family (8-79years in our party). If you like a peaceful location with good access to supermarkets etc this is the place to go. This place is so good you'll dream of owning it!!

Beautiful house in delightful setting.........

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week here in late August. The house is really lovely - beautifully restored/designed and in a really stunning setting with amazing views. Extremely quiet & relaxing by the perfect pool, on the terrace and in the house itself - day and night. There were just two of us and our small dog but it would also be ideal for a family/children too. It's not far from many attractions (Vals les Bains, Largentiere, Ardeche River etc.) but in reality, once you're there you don't feel like leaving the house much ! We would however recommend a visit to the Sunday market in Vals les Bains simply for the the rotisserie chicken with potatoes & olives ! We also liked Aubenas. Terri was extremely helpful with answering our questions both before and during our stay & there's a lot of helpful information available at the house. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend this house and would love to return one day.....

Even better than in the phootos

  • 5 of 5

We saw this property on the Homeaway site and it is much more beautiful and warmer-looking than in the photographs. We were there from 9th to 19th of September and the weather was wonderfully sunny and the pool still warm enough for swimming to be a pleasure. The setting is perfect with spectacular views over unspoilt countryside, especially from the kitchen, sitting room and two terraces, one of which has a large table and a barbecue where you can sit and have lovely long lunches and suppers. The living room is amazing with a high vaulted ceiling which makes it wonderfully light. There is also a wood-burning stove if the evenings get chilly but they never did when we were there. From the house there is a very pretty walk through some woodlands down to a stream and there are many fascinating towns and old villages to visit nearby, one of which, Aubenas, as well as having terrific food shops has a local produce market once a week.

Un havre de paix!

  • 5 of 5

  • 3 of 5

  • 5 of 5
