The casita was lovely and situated within walking distance of the plaza and many restaurants and museums. The owner’s studio/gallery was onsite and David and his wife Sally couldn’t have been more lovely. A perfect getaway!
We had a wonderful stay in Santa Fe. The casita is perfectly located (super close to the plaza) and well appointed. The owner David was extremely accessible (his gallery is in front), as well as helpful and fun! Our black lab enjoyed playing with his dog Tennessee! We will absolutely hope to stay here the next time we visit.
Comfy, attractive casita steps away from Georgia O'Keeffe and the Plaza
This cozy, nicely decorated apartment is hidden away behind David Copher's Gallery just west of the Georgia O'Keeffe museum. This puts you right in the middle of things in old Santa Fe and yet provides a nice retreat from the crowd at the end of your day. Copher himself is a wonderful and fascinating host -- a world class artist who also happens to have 2-3 decades of experience as a rodeo clown. You'll enjoy meeting him and hearing his story. Right across the street from his gallery is the best wine bar in Santa Fe, and there are any number of good restaurants, at various price levels, within easy walking distance. For my wife and I it was the perfect place to stay, and we hope to take advantage of David and his casita the next time we're in Santa Fe.
Second time is as good as the first time
Great place in the middle of town
Beautiful gallery next door with lots of art in our casita
All amenities are there in our casita
No one told me what a change in altitude can do to you. After 3 days I adjusted but it was scary as I thought I was having a heart attack.
Cozy, good location.
The Cottage was cozy, well appointed, very comfortable bed, nice and clean, high ceilings, and the artwork was by the owner. The kitchen area was designed for Tall people, so I was vertically challenged with anything above the bottom shelf in the upper cabinets. I did find the step stool in the bedroom closet! The location was perfect for the historic district, and sat behind the owners gallery and studio. There are several restaurants within a block of so, and the Santa Fe cooking school just down the street, and on the other end is Gorgia O’Keefe Museum. There is free shuttle nearby, for getting around, to the places too far to walk, parking is at a premium, so if you can walk, bike, or shuttle do so. With all the old buildings, museums, there is so much to take in. When the legislature is in session, don’t even try to visit the capital it’s a Zoo. This city is an art lovers dream, and a bit overwhelming. The term “shop til you drop” must have originated in Santa Fe.
I would definitely recommend staying with David and Sally, they are excellent hosts and Tennessee is an excellent greeter to the gallery and loves to be petted.
We are ideally located in downtown Santa Fe, in easy walking distance to three of our best museums, excellent dining and quaint cafes and the historic Plaza, as well as great shopping.
