Walked in and said "Wow!"

  • 5 of 5

I really did say "wow" -- the front room that you walk into is bright and spacious and looks just right. The ceilings are very high so you feel comfortable right away. The place is very well furnished and there is tasteful art all over the apartment to lend it a unique charm. The kitchen is also large and welcoming. There's a sitting area with a view of the greenery and hills of Bath. The location of this apartment is excellent. You're a 5 minute walk from the heart of the old city and some of the best restaurants are a leisurely walk away as is shopping and, of course, the Roman baths. We had a minor issue with the heating and within *5 minutes* of sending an email to the owner, he was at the door with a smile on his face to fix the problem (which he did quickly and efficiently). I recommend this place unreservedly and we're looking forward to staying here on our next trip to Bath.

Amazing Magical Space!

  • 5 of 5

Felt like we went back in time to the Gregorian era in this lovely little centrally located apartment. We messed up on our booking and arrived a day earlier lucky the host was able to move things around and actually accept us for the full 3 days. The place felt so special with wonderful views and tastfully furnished. One criticism is it would have nice to have some salt and pepper in the kitchen to help with cooking but other then that its was one of the best vacation rentals we have ever stayed in.

IDEAL LOCATION IN GEORGIAN BATH

  • 5 of 5

This large and comfortable vacation apartment was perfect for our week in Bath. You can walk to the train station and all the shopping and restaurants in the center of the city. The river is nearby for even more scenic beauty. The owner, Rebecca, was super helpful in answering any question we had about the apartment and the town. We would love to stay there again!

Wonderful Stay

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is just as pictured, light and airy, with high ceilings and beautiful arched windows. The location simply cannot be better, two blocks from the bridge. We could easily walk everywhere we wanted to visit. Becky is a great hostess. A couple of minor things went awry, and she was responsive and eager to help. This is one of our favorites among all our vacation rentals.

Excellent accomodation in a Georgian space - light and airy with all the facilties needed.

  • 5 of 5

Felt very welcomed into the property. Good communication with property owner over access and a lot of information in flat about facilities and local area. Very clean and tidy with glorious views from all sash windows in the apartment. Felt very entitled living in this space for 5 days - a home from home during our daughters graduation from the University of Bath. Very convenient to Bath Abbey and central for all touristy things without being crowded. Found the property quiet and relaxing.

Wonderful Architurally Delightful Apt.

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at the Art Pad and highly recommend this apt. It is perfectly located in Bath, close to all the sights but on a quite residential street. We drove and therefore found it necessary to buy the parking pass offered. The apt is well appointed, clean, light and airy. The bathroom was modern and nice. The natural light, high ceilings and furnishing all made this apt. special, if returning to Bath I would return to this apt. We found the apt. even more lovely than the web site illustrates.

About Rebecca Grobler

We are a local family who have renovated the apartment especially for holiday rental. We live in the Garden Flat and can provide any information you need. Please feel free to contact us. The building has been in the family for a few generations so if you are interested in history we can find out for you.

Rebecca Grobler purchased this apartment in 2012

Why Rebecca Grobler chose Bath

The property is situated in one of the most beautiful and grandest streets in Bath. It’s situated on the ground floor making access very easy. We always thought it would make an ideal holiday apartment due to its location and Georgian feel.

We have just finished having the apartment totally renovated so it will feel clean and new but with all the Georgian splendour that makes it so special.

What makes this apartment unique

This apartment has been called The Artpad as all the artworks in the apartment have been supplied and done by local artists - all pieces of work are available to buy. We will be changing the artwork on a rotational basis with other local artists every 6 months.

The apartment is also so centrally located that you have the ability to walk into the city in moments - fantastic. You can enjoy an evening out in one of the many restaurants or bars and simply walk back to your apartment. There is so much art and history to see in Bath and so many walks and bus tours. There is simply too much to explain and needs to be seen in person.

Guestbook comments from the manager

This apartment was fantastic in architecture, views, and location. It is situated on a grand street minutes away from the city centre. It was immaculate and updated and well decorated. Rebecca was a wonderful and very accommodating host. We had a travel delay which resulted in a very late arrival into Bath. Rebecca was quick to communicate and make me feel at ease regarding this and still welcomed us at the late hour. A wonderful memory to be able to stay in a wonderful place like this in beautiful Bath.
