Very nice town house / Sehr hübsches Haus

  • 4 of 5

Really nice town house. Well furnished with all the things you need for a perfect holiday. The terrace on the roof top is a really relaxing place.

The village is medieval with so much history and beautiful countryside. Neighbouring Carcassone and many other interesting villages.

Lovely home in a gorgeous village!

  • 5 of 5

The house was really lovely - all mod cons and everything you would need to live comfortably for the week. The roof terrace is even nicer than it appears in the photos - we had breakfast outside every morning and especially enjoyed the evenings with sunsets and birdsong. The village is incredibly nice and we were lucky enough to try almost all of the restaurants. We got into the rather pleasant habit of having wine and feeding the kids ice cream at the local bar every night. While we felt the house was great for our family (three relatively well behaved kids aged 7, 5 and 5!), the stone staircase and beautiful decoration may not make it suitable for families with very small children. Overall, a great house in a great place - we'd happily return.

Medieval charm and originality...

  • 5 of 5

A veritable jewel, with its original stonework and medieval charm, this sixteenth century cottage is a ‘must’. Clean and comfortable, it has a charming, well maintained courtyard, great for sitting out and eating breakfast. We hadn’t visited the Minervois region before but were delighted with what we found. There was plenty to do for both adults and children and a good sprinkling of friendly village and town activities. The nearby shops offered tasty, locally sourced foods and wonderful wines-a speciality of the region. This holiday let exceeded all expectations; with beach visits and horse riding, there’s plenty to please for both adults and children. A great family holiday-we will definitely come again!

Just few lines to say what a great holiday we had,we arrived by plane and hired a car for the week which actually was quite reasonable.

Villeneuve wasn’t that far away, so when we arrived we had a hour before the sun went down to walk around this charming village.

A week wasn’t really enough but we managed to see Carcassonne ,The Dali museum on the Spanish border, great swimming at Narbonne and the Olonzac market.

The best evening was the Tuesday when it was the local fete, nearly 300 of us outside eating with a wonderful concert with music for everyone!

Next time we want to explore the mountains and the Cathar castles.

Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Noelle and John.

Sehr nettes Dorf, schönes Haus

  • 4 of 5
