3 bedroom, 2 Bath newly remodeled lake side cabin
Spending every summer at the cabin is a Minnesota tradition. As a child I spent summers at "the Cabin" learning to water ski, sail, canoe, learn about the wildlife in northern MN and be with family. I have been lucky enough to share these Minnesota experiences with my children and grandchildren too. Now I'd like everyone to have the opportunity to spend the summer "Up North" at "the Cabin"!
Cindy purchased this Cabin in 1970
Why Cindy chose Pequot Lakes
The cabin has been in my family since 1970! The original cabin is the section closest to the lake, a lop sided A frame. The 2 story addition was added in the early 90's. This past winter was spent giving the cabin a new fresh makeover for all to enjoy. My hope is to share "the Cabin" with others who love nature and would like to create memories with their family and friends.
What makes this Cabin unique
There is nothing like sitting on the dock and seeing the loons swim buy, "The Cabin" is a very special place.

Great place to create fun memories
We had our girl's weekend at "The Cabin". It was very quiet and the cabin has great space so we had plenty of room to be together or have our own time.
Cabin in Loon Lake
We had a wonderful time here!!! The cabin is so cute and the owner left us a bottle of wine, fixings for s'mores plus spaghetti!! Would highly recommend this cabin and would love to come back here again!!!!!
Great cabin on the lake
Our family of five had a lovely week at this cabin on the lake. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, s’mores kit, and everything freshly cleaned. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen (with dishwasher), the secret toy room, a nice size television for evening movies, yard games, a nice fire pit, and, of course, the great dock with rowboat. Our kids spent hours and hours fishing off the dock (little fish) and from the boat. There were life jackets for everyone. We were a little worried about having no air conditioning, but it wasn’t an issue at all. With all the many fans and the shade from the trees, the cabin never got too warm. We had a comfortable temperature all week. The wifi was very strong, so my husband could get some work done each morning. We enjoyed visiting the towns nearby. Nisswa has turtle races on Wednesday’s, Piquot Lakes has a great grocery store and fishing supply store. We also had a fun round of mini golf at the Pirate’s Cove just 10 minutes away. It was a great week of relaxing and the owners were great at communicating. I highly recommend this cabin. There is only one thing that wasn’t perfect - the mattresses were too soft for our liking. We didn’t sleep great because they were saggy and we are not heavy people. Maybe it is just our personal preference, but if they upgrade the mattresses it would be an A+ for sure.
Thanks Charmaine! We just got New Matresses!!! So everyone can sleep well! Thanks for the tip!
The property is quite nice. The architecture is so lovely.
I'm glad your group had a fun time!!!!
Beautiful home with fishing right off the dock. No air conditioning but fans in every room. Owner was very hospitable. Only problem we had was backing the boat trailer around the circular drive., but it is doable.. Anything you could need during your stay was provided. Would definitely stay there again.
Thanks for staying at The Cabin!
Perfect Lake Experience
Property was clean and comfortable with many nice touches added. Lack of air conditioning is mitigated by lake breezes and open windows. You will likely see and hear neighbors during weekends and holidays, but quiet hours were honored. Loon Lake is more than just a name, we frequently heard the call of the birds, a signature sound of Minnesota lake country!
Thank you for staying at The Cabin!
