About David and Caryn Doyle
We are outdoorsy people and love Northern Arizona and the many things it has to offer. David is an Electrical Engineer and Caryn is in Real Estate and Teaching. We have 4 children and 2 grandchildren.
David and Caryn Doyle purchased this House in 2017
Why David and Caryn Doyle chose Williams
We first thought of living in Northern Arizona while taking the Grand Canyon Railway with our grown children and fell in love with the small town atmosphere of Williams. For years we have dreamed and planned for this rural property. Our heart and soul was in the purchase and renovation of the home. We hope that you enjoy it!!
What makes this House unique
David fell in love with this property while searching online. We both went out to Arizona to see it and both felt it was for us! The cherry on top was when a procession of Antelope crossed less than 50 feet from the front door. Caryn had her criteria also, she wanted to be within 10 miles of the freeway and be able to see her neighbors homes. We both fell in love with the drive through the pines and the spacious 20 acre prairie land. That it snows on the prairie while not reaching extreme temperatures was a bonus.

Due to an unexpected water problem, we did not actually get to stay at the property. However, David and Caryn have been very gracious to us in making things right … and we would not hesitate to book with them again, should we plan another trip to the Grand Canyon area.
We make sure that all things are ready to go for all our guests. It's hard to accept that some things are in fate's hand.
The definition of peaceful!
If you check a dictionary, I'm sure under the word "Peaceful" you'll find Garland Prairie Farm! Our entire family loved the views and tranquility of the location!
Communication with the owners was great and distance to various local sight-seeing areas was very convenient.
I'd highly recommend this rental to anyone who wants to hear the birds sing and the trees sway without any "city" noise!
Our family enjoys our time out there also. Its great for all ages!
Beautiful and peaceful rural property
This place is great! All amenities of a suburban house w acres of beautiful prairie to hike or just enjoy. Very helpful owners. Wish I could’ve brought my horses, otherwise couldn’t have been better. Plan to stay again.
Maybe someday we will have a set-up for horses, but we are so glad that you enjoyed your time anyway!
We loved our stay at the farm. Wife and I needed some quiet time and the farm was perfect place. It was peaceful, wonderful scenery, and great temps. My truck enjoyed being on the gravel road; well ok I did anyway ;-)
Any concerns we had were addressed immediately and Caryn responded as quickly as she could.
Wife loved the place and wants to return again.
When we purchased the property it had to fit all personalities, mainly mine and my husbands. I needed the comforts of home without being too far from the city and he needed to be out in the open. Thankfully we found both in the property at Garland Prairie
Beautiful! Want to go back again
Perfect weekend getaway. Loved walking the property with my dogs. The home was put together beautifully and was comfy and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone. The owners were extremely helpful in their directions to get to the property and working with me (I booked last minute).
We try and work with guests as we know life doesn't always happen on a pre-planned schedule! Walking around and exploring is one of our favorite activities!
A Gem on the Prairie
Peaceful serenity! What a wonderful experience on this huge property with a magnificent 360 degree view of heart of Northern Arizona. Cool nights and warm days invite you to kick back on the porch or head to one of the many "off-the-beaten-path trails" the area has to offer. And that's just outside the house. The inside of the home offers all the comforts (and technology) to share your experiences with friends and family back home.
The sunrises/sunsets are almost as amazing as the stars.
Watch for the rabbits on property to scurry about early AM and late afternoon in search of a snack. The bird house offers a delightful connection with nature.
S'mores by the firepit brought the family together for laughs and great memories.
The meteorologist in me loved the weather station in the mudroom giving current conditions inside and outside the home.
Property owners were VERY responsive and concerned about every aspect of the comfort of our.stay. We can't wait to see the prairie covered in snow in a future visit.
It is an amazing place! The peace and quiet of the prairie is wonderful and quests are not far away from all the activities the close by cities have to offer.
Because we are located between Williams and Flagstaff there are numerous activities. GrandCanyon Railway and Bearizona in Williams. You can take a day trip to the GrandCanyon, Lake Powell, or Monument Valley.
