THE APARTMENT WAS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED,THE OWNER WAS VERY HELPFUL, everything was provided (iron, cooking utensils, wifi, tv dvd player). Pont Neuf bridge was literally at the end of the road, supermarkets within 3 minutes walk the apartment was nicely furnished and quiet.
The owner was very helpful in providing directions and met us at he apartment on the day of our arrival and showed us how everything worked, everything was clean and relatively new, we had our 16 year old daughter with us and had a great 4 days in Paris.
The 18th arrondissement is one of The Most Historically interesting quarters of Paris. Turn left on leaving the apartment in rue & you happen LEPIC known all over Paris for icts street merchants. The Montmartre area, with narrow winding streets icts, colorful street markets & rich collection of cafes & restaurants is a delight to the senses. Home of the Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur & the form of residences Picasso, Pissarro & an Entire generation of French and expatriate artists, Montmartre HAS Retained it's unique village character.
Turn right on rue LEPIC & after a 15mn walk you'll reach the elegant Palais Garnier Opera House, designed as share of the great Parisian reconstruction of the Second French Empire instigated by Emperor Napoleon III, and completed in 1875. The Opera House now features ballet & other concerts & HAS guided tours for visitors.
Within a Few minutes walk of the Opera House are the quintessentially Parisian department stores, Galeries Lafayette & Printemps, With Their colorful domed interiors & unrivaled selection of clothing & accessories.
