Awesome location, beautiful rental

A group of five friends (including me) came down to stay the weekend before Memorial Day. This unit is in a prime location for access to downtown and Commercial St. With direct access to the beach and a dedicated parking spot, you can't beat it!

The unit was clean, in better shape than it looked in the pictures and was a pleasure to stay at. Kitchen is well appointed with the necessities and lots of sheets and towels were available!

I'd definitely come back again soon.

I just finished my stay at this property. What an excellent experience. I enjoyed the professionalism of the owner and how quickly he responded to my enquiries. The property was clean, and had a great view! I woudl recommend this property to anyone.

The Heart of Provincetown but Quiet and Accessible

We checked in late at night and awoke the following morning to a wonderful view of the harbor!

The condo easily accomodated 2 couples. The master bedroom was large, clean, and comfortable. The second bedroom was smaller, but quite adequate, with a very comfortable bed. A friend came by for a couple of days and did well with the sleeper in the third bedroom. The extra half bath in the hallway was very convenient.

The location is fabulous; close to the center of Provincetown, but just far enough away from the hustle bustle and noise. Having a reserved parking space is a necessity.

Kitchen and bathrooms were well maintained and stocked with many of the necessities; however, one should note that there is a "Stop 'n Shop" within easy driving distance on Shankpainter Rd.

Best of all, the owner was very responsive both when we were setting up the rental, and during our stay. For example, we had a problem with the wifi and it was taken care of quite quickly.

We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone who is travelling to P-town. Please eat a lobster for us; we strongly recommend the Lobster Pot!

clean....... no

Note the dates on the review (09) the place hasn't been cleaned since then! I kid you not! great location though, and still charged us a cleaning deposit . Go figure! If you are allergic to dust, mold, dog hair or dislike the smell of pet urine then please stay some place else. Only one of the showers works, I've had better accomadations at a campground! I will never use Home away again because of this!

Owner's Response: First, the renter is correct that there were some issues that needed to be addressed. The guys who have cleaned my units (I have 3 in Ptown that I rent to vacationers) for years were using a new employee to clean this one this season, and he was not doing a good job. Those issues have since been addressed (the owners have committed to clean my units themselves). The issues that the vacationer who posted this review raised to me while she was in the unit that were addressed involved the cleaner having left (clean) laundry in the dryer, needing to do a better job dusting and vacuuming, and removing a couple small spots of mold in one of the bathrooms. That said, I have owned this unit for over a decade and have had probably several hundred people stay in it over that period. I have owned my other units for almost as long, with probably over a thousand people staying in them. (The other units are HomeAway properties no. 131198 and 10230). As the availablity calendars show, all these units are very popular. I have lots of repeat renters, especially in the unit this review is about. Some renters have been coming to this unit since my first summer owning it. I work hard to keep my units in good shape, and their polularity is testament to this. Occaisonally I get a request from a vacationer to address an issue, ranging from needing more light bulbs, pointing out where the cleaners could have done a better job vacuuming a room, to issues w the internet connections. I always return the vacationer's email or call promptly, and get my cleaning/management guys on it. Over the course of my owning and renting these places, only twice have I gotten complaints that I was not able to successfully resolve in the usual course, with the complaint giving rise to this review being one of them. Each of those times, frankly, I think there was more going on than a cleaning issue. Here, I promptly responded to the vacationer's email by calling my cleaners and relaying the complaints she had raised, and then calling her cell phone and leaving more than one message, without a return call or email. My cleaners tell me they went to the unit, met her partner (who said the problems were not that bad and that the reviewer was exagerating), addressed the issues and left. The issue of the pet urine was not raised until after her stay ended and the shower not working was not raised until the next renter did so, resulting in our fixing the issue prior to seeing this review.

Nicely Situated with Harbor View

This is a beautifully kept three bedroom unit with an exterior deck overlooking the bay. The view of the water from the deck is limited by other properties, but the early morning sunrises were spectacularly vivid, and the evening views of the bay at sunset were inspirational. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the deck with our coffee in the mornings, and while sharing an evening meal at sunset. The beachfront is literally footsteps away, where we found beach chairs to use. (Not sure if they were there for community use, or not, but no one had any objections while we were there...) Another plus is that this condo is in the heart of the commercial area, and everything is within convenient walking distance. The master bedroom is quite spacious and clean with a very comfortable king size bed. The other two bedrooms are small but also clean and adequate for a brief stay. The kitchen is very well maintained, open, and equipped. The living room is cozy, warm, and open, but the television is on the small side. We spent most of our time in there reading and listening to music. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it!

Just back from a wonderful week at this property. The location is great. The unit was wonderful. Very comfortable, well maintained with many extra's. We had a nice view of the bay and direct access to the beach. We definately will be renting this unit again !
