Referred to as "the Penthouse of Kona Shores" This two bedroom, two full bath CORNER Condo has a good partial ocean view (best at Kona Shores) from living room and deck, 2 assigned parking spots in secluded section down 1 1/2 stories, and many special features. The unit has hardwood floor entry; step-down living room with sliding glass doors to north and west portions of wrap-around lanai. There are 3 wall air conditioners: one in the living room near the kitchen; one in the MA Bedroom; and one in the 2nd Bedroom.
A King-size bed, large closet, jacuzzi tub and make-up table are in Master Bedroom. The second bedroom has a glass slider onto the covered West deck (lanai) and the Master Bedroom has a glass slider onto the North deck-- bedrooms are on opposite ends of this corner unit to assure privacy of guests.
There is a small step-down entering the living room and foyer to 2nd Bedroom. Additional sleeping is in living room with sofa-bed. 1000 square feet of living space and 400 square feet of deck give space for enjoyment and privacy, ocean views, eating outside, and private view of tops of golden-fruited palms complete with green day geckos. It is a top floor (second floor) unit.
Pets are NOT allowed, No Smoking.
We enjoyed our stay in your condo very much. Although we spent time in Waikiki afterwards, I enjoyed Kailua-Kona much more. The condo was comfortable and perfectly located. We paarticularly enjoyed the selection of books on the fish, birds and flowers of the big island. It was so nice to be ale to identify what we were seeing.
This was my first visit to the state of Hawaii, but I hope it won't be my last. I would not hesitate to book your condo again if I ever have the chance to return to Kailua-Kona.
We enjoyed your condo so much, everything was clean and organized and easy to find whatever we wanted to use. Loved sitting on the lanai and watching the happenings of the area....cruise ships, para-sailing, jumping dolphins, geckos, birds, etc.......Hope to return in a couple years and will be asking to rent again. Was a pleasure to work with Glen and was happy to receive our deposit back.....Mahalo....
This was our second visit to this Condo unit and we truly enjoyed it both times. It's strategically located close to Kona Village, which can be easily walked to. It was also a great value and provided everything we needed to make things comfortable - plenty of towels, coffee pot, hair dryer, even an ice chest for your beach visits. It's wrap around lanai on the second floor also offered brief views of the ocean. The pool and laundry facilities are also well maintained and provide easy access. Bobbi, the owner's "girl Friday" was wonderful and could not have been more helpful. Should we return to the Big Island, we would not hesitate to rent this condo again! And by the way, don't forget to put some orange pieces on the lanai railing for the friendly little geckos that reside nearby.
My daughter and her family from North Carolina just was so overwhelmed with the unit and even the decor. She was glad to be visiting me for my 75th birthday party. Your unit just made it complete for them and the convenient of being near to everything in town. Mahalo!
We stayed in this unit for 1 week. We loved the spacious rooms with a remodeled kitchen and eating area. All rooms had their own air conditioner so was very comfortable. Master bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. The assigned parking was a big help and located closely to the unit. The laundry facility is close and all were in working order when we were there. I would definitely stay again.
The condo was very nice and comfortable. Everything was provided. Loved the bookshelves and the walking-on-water effect of the entryway.
It was spotlessly clean. The long lanai with plenty of birds visiting was fun. Enjoyed the ocean view too. Thanks Glen!
My family has stayed in Kona Shores (both the upper and lower corner units of this owner) on multiple occasions over the past decade. My evaluation of Kona Shores (as in past VRBO reviews) remains favorable with the following addition: This unit has undergone a kitchen remodel that has improved the overall attractiveness of the condo. New cabinets, drawers, cupboards, tile, etc. Very nice improvements. We'll be back again.
