This studio condo is a well-decorated, newly refurbished 2nd floor (top floor) unit, including new kitchen and bathroom flooring, cabinets, carpet, vertical blinds, and modern gas stove. Lighting and fixtures were upgraded in 2015. The sleeping area is offset from the dining area and includes a king-size bed, 2 chests of drawers and wall reading lights above the bed. It has a wall air conditioner, more than adequate for the space.
The unit has a round glass-top table and four chairs, two padded chairs--one a recliner; Cable TV, DVD, and VCR; and two bar stools at the pass-through to the fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is sizable and has double sinks, two wall mirrors with vanity lights; and a tub shower. The very private deck looks out onto the tops of golden-fruited palms, complete with green day geckos and a variety of birds. In Winter the view of Mt. Hualalai is particularly clear. Lanai furniture include a love seat, coffee table, and 2 chairs--one padded.
The assigned parking spot is nearby, on the way to the Pool, which is right on the ocean with great views of sunsets, ocean, and Kailua Pier. It is a great place to relax and read. Also, the BBQ area, including tables in a covered area, and the grass recreation area are by the pool. The commercial type laundry is on the way to the parking lot.
We really enjoyed your place. It's nice and clean and close to all that Kona has to offer. We had a great time on the Big Island. We had not been there since we were married in October of 2003.

My Grandaughter just loved this, spacious unit for being a studio. Good for family coming over from the Hilo side to get some sun and beaches, snorkeling, and a little of the night life.
Decor just fantastic, wouldn't have thought it from the outside of the building. OKAY!
We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is very clean and comfortable, stocked with all the little odds and ends you forget at home. Kitchen had everything needed to cook with and the coffee was delicious, thank you! Bed was very comfortable. My favorite was being able to sit outside on the lanai with coffee in the mornings, with a view of the ocean in one direction and the mountainside in the other. Glen and Ginny did an outstanding job of providing information on all the tourist spots and were very nice to work with. Pool was wonderful, I felt like it was my own private pool. We spend a lot of evenings there watching the sunset. The community is quiet and neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Great location!! We hope to back soon!
Everything is exactly as described. Clean and well maintained with everything you need to set up housekeeping. Very comfortable king size bed. Good location, quiet, with assigned parking and close to laundry room. Outside BBQ and ocean side pool. Walking distance to town or short drive to beaches. Convenient to shopping. Extras include boogie board and snorkeling gear. Good customer service and lots of information about the area and activities, attractions, restaurants nearby and how to get there. I will recommend this condo to my friends and family.
We were fortunate to spend a month (Mar 16- Apr 15 2016) on the Big Island. This condo was exactly what we required to make our stay perfect. The complex is within short walking distance to the village. In Kona you will find everything you need, shopping, restaurants, farmers market and some night life. The pool area was well maintained and we spent many days just relaxing in the sunshine. We had the pleasure of watching whales, spinner dolphins, turtles and a multitude of tropical fish from the pool deck, all without snorkeling. This complex is also well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful. The laundry room was spotless and yes all the machines work. I should mention the common area has a great barbecue pit and is a good place to meet your neighbours. There is no beach access for swimming but it is good for snorkeling. A small sandy beach is within walking distance. The condo complex (area) is very quiet at night, so perfect for us. Next door is a cafe called The Green Flash, nice for a morning latte.
The condo was the perfect size with a large kitchen. The kitchen has all the tools you will need and then some. The owners have thought of everything including all the barbecue items. The bathroom is extra large and well stocked as well. The bathtub is getting older and the finish is worn, so difficult to keep clean, but this is minor, an easy fix. The lanai is big and the tropical trees provide plenty of privacy. It is situated on the west side so no worries about scorching sun during the day, it is very relaxing. I am happy to say that the King size bed has a good mattress and is very comfortable. The owners provided beach towels, snorkels and masks, water shoes, boogie boards, coolers and water jugs.
Glen provided the keys to the property and lots of information about the Big Island well in advance of our arrival date. We felt that we were taken care of and well informed.
On another note I would recommend you purchase a guide book for the Big Island. We were there in 2011 as well and things are changing constantly. The farmers market in Kona and Ali'i Drive are both worth the walk for fresh produce and more. Transportation on the island requires a car, although we did use the local bus once. Volcanoes National Park is a must see and worth a day or two. Safeway is open 24hrs so if you arrive late at night you can still buy supplies for the next morning.I have and will continue to recommend this condo to family and friends.
We had a very comfortable stay in this Studio Condo in Kona Hawaii. It was well furnished and contained more of the items we take for granite than any other Condo that I have stayed in. Double Bathroom sinks, Comfortable King Size Bed and well equipped kitchen with nice quality gear. It was a real pleasure and we will rent again from this owner.
Great snorkeling at many spots within 5 miles; others within 20 miles--best in HI. Good local beaches and one world class beach within 25 miles. Small town atmosphere with reasonable restaurants and shops. Picturesque walk along main drive, many areas open to ocean. Unspoiled!
