THE TRUTH ABOUT CONSTRUCTION NOISE: Some travel books have mentioned that there is noisy construction nearby. That project ceased over 5 years ago and there is no evidence that it will start up again any time soon.

My husband and I just spent the past ten days at the most beautiful home in Kihei, Maui. We would go back tomorrow and live there the rest of our lives if we could :o) The location is excellent. The beaches, and there were several, are within a short walking distance. The sunset every night was unimaginable.
They call our one bedroom condo the Little Grass Hut, but it is so much more than that. The owners are wonderful hosts. They even provided a darling care package to get us started. The fridge had a few must need condiments all new. The cupboards were fully equipped with all the necessary cooking utensils, pots and pans and dishes. There were even a few must use spices readily available. To our delight there was a brand new gas grill just outside our building that we used frequently.
The pool is the perfect size and whisper quiet for those afternoons when the beach might not seem the place to be. However, we found the beaches amazing. We loved them all and they were not crowded at any part of the day. We were out there morning, noon and night, and each time was perfect.
The neighboring restraunts were also very nice. A deli sandwhich place was just down the parking lot a bit, and there was a wonderful breakfast cafe just a few blocks away. Both I would highly, highly reccommend.
Our accomodations were just lovely. We had a view of the ocean from our balcony where we were able to sit and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. The condo was spotlessly clean and we felt very much at home. The owners checked on us shortly after we arrived and allowed us some extra time to stay on our last day which was a godsend since our flight was not until 10pm.
We will definitely be telling all of our friends about The Little Grass Hut and our wonderful time in Kihei. We can't wait to plan our next visit. Many thanks to Patricia and Jefferson on their amazing hospitality. If you are going to Maui be sure and check them out!
This lovely condo is 200 meters away from the Kamaole beach II, also closes to stores and restaurants.
The king size bet is good for us and our 4 yeras old son. Like other guests mentioned the condo has kitchen stuff for cooking , and all stuff for enjoying the beach.
Site office maneger answered all our queations,gave us lots of useful travel information.The owner Patricia responded to our request very quickly. She allowed us to stay late on our last day.(normal check out is 11am, our flight was 11PM, we left the condo at 8:30pm).

Simply the BEST...Close to the safe Lifeguard Beaches, excellent restaurants, best beach food tacos, and scenic beauty abound. While reading a book on the lanai listening to the sound of the waves and watching the snorkel boats pass naps come rather easily. We consider this our "Hula Home" and after over a decade of visiting we will continue to call this our "Hula Home." The onsite manager Debbie welcomes you with the true Aloha Spirit her welcome package is total and complete with her Smile.
I've stayed at a couple different rooms in Kihei Kai Nani, and this one is now my favorite. It's right across from the pool, and just a quick walk to Kam II. It even has a small ocean view.
The room was well stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, snorkel gear and a nice beach umbrella.
The bed was enough for both my pregnant wife and me to sleep comfortably. Although there is no AC in the bedroom (I think that's a rule by Kihei Kai Nani), there were 3 fans that were available to use and the corner cross breeze kept the room cool. (I should add that there is AC in the living room).
The kitchen had all the basics that were needed for our entire 2 week stay.
Patricia was gracious and responsive to any needs we had. We will definitely try to book this condo again.
The Kihei Kai Nani condo is centrally located in South Kihei. It is a short walk to the beach (Kamaole II), and is bright and airy, and well laid out. We found the condo to be very well-equipped and included such items as beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and the nighttime breeze through the open windows was wonderful. The complex has a large pool and the water temperature was perfect for afternoon swims after a day of hiking or snorkeling, and late evening dips. We really appreciated Patricia's added touches with flowers in every room and a gift basket upon arrival.
We love this condo and will be back again for the seventh time next year! It may not be fancy but it has everything you will need for your vacation and the location is great for those who want the beach and proximity to shopping and restaurants. We have never used the AC as the trade winds blow nicely through this corner units windows. The lanai has a really good view of Haleakala and a partial view of the ocean which is enough to see if it is a good day to snorkel. We keep the binoculars handy and often see whales from there. We stayed 5 nights in the condo, being on the 3rd floor was a bit taxing on my knees hauling up luggage and groceries so be aware of extra effort needed.
Condo itself was very comfortable and roomy with many beach supplies and kitchen fully stocked.
Condo bedroom does not have the AC it is in the living room instead
Bedroom faces the parking lot.
Even with the noise rules it was noisy in the am and pm.
Light blocking curtains would have helped the afternoon naps in the bedroom as light shone right in.
View from the balcony is to another condo and marginal sea view.
AC shut down the power when running the microwave at the same time.
We alerted the owner when we were leaving.
Owner was very nice in extending check out time since we were on a whale watch returning later than the expected checkout time.
Many condo units for rent in this complex.
Overall a very good experience staying here.
Pool across the way and laundry facilities, many restaurants and several snorkeling spots within walking distance.
Excellent snorkeling and swimming right across the street. Sandy beach with life guard. Rent bikes, mopeds, kayaks and paddleboards nearby. Near golf courses, aquarium, water park, shopping and miles of beaches and trails to walk.
