Prestige apartment in one of Kensington's finest streets

Our apartment is located in one of the finest streets of Kensington, within easy walking distance of Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill and Portobello market.

In the spring, the cherry blossom trees are amazingly beautiful and you can enjoy them from the balcony whilst sipping a glass of wine and having a few nibbles . Sitting out on the balcony is a great way to unwind after a hard day's site seeing or shopping with much to see and do on your doorstep and a number of Tube stations only a few minutes away.

We have tried to both keep the original features of the apartment ( cornices, fireplace, window shutters ) and create a relaxing, modern feel to the place through our choice of colours, furniture and pictures. TV, Wifi, and a selection of books, CDs and DVDs will hopefully also help you relax and unwind in the evening.

The main bedroom has a large double bed which can be converted into two single beds if required. A comfortable sofa bed in the lounge can be quickly prepared and the apartment can therefore accommodate four people without difficulty.

We have lived in London for over 30 years and we have 3 children, twin girls aged 29 and a boy aged 22.

We have a number of other properties in London and Paris and are delighted to welcome back many of our guests year after year.

We decided to buy this property because we always liked the street and thought that it would be an ideal base for us should we ever decide to move out of London.

As things turned out, we are still living in London , not far from Brunswick Gardens , which means we are well-placed to ensure that your stay is enjoyable and problem-free. We are also always available to answer any questions you may have before and during your stay.

What makes this apartment unique

There are very few apartments so well located in such a prime Central London location.

The street is quiet and calm and has great charm.

  • The bathroom has been recently redecorated with a real attention to details. There is a wide walk in shower with a wide shower head and a hand held shower for those who do not wish to wet their hair. One of the walls is covered in rough slate and gives an interesting feel to the room. There is ample storage space provided as well as a hairdryer. We can also provide bathrobes for your you to use during your stay.

Excellent location and wonderful presentation of apartment

This is now the third time I have stayed in this delightful little apartment in a very pretty and safe tree lined street . Two streets away from Kensington palace and with 2 tube stations very close by with many shops and restaurants to choose from I have found this to have been my home away from home!Sunny and bright with even my own little terrace to enjoy an evening glass of wine , my husband and I have had a wonderful week in London . Our host , Patricia , is always close by to help with introducing you to the apartment and any queries you may have . Thank you Patricia for such a pleasant set up, and although we live in Sydney ,we also enjoy thinking of our lovely home in Brunswick gardens .Many thanks and we hope to visit again soon ! Diana and Peter .

Comfortable, best location

Flat was superbly located. The couch upholstery wasn't very clean. Propert manager should have walked us through how tv works. Shower basin fills quickly and e dos up on bathroom floor. Drain needs cleaning. Otherwise we led the above street level.

Owner's Response: Dear Eric, I am pleased you enjoyed the location and the flat as a whole. I am sorry you had trouble with the remote controls and glad I was able to help you sorting it out. You are right, the person who did the welcoming, should have explained it better when he did the check in with you but probably wrongly assumed that you knew what the Sky remote control was for access to wide range of satellite TV programmes. I understand from the company that looked after our apartment that they were able to send someone out quickly to clean the drain and have assured me that this would be done properly in the future. As for the sofas, I am sorry that you thought it wasn’t clean but in fact, it had just had a professional clean a few days earlier. However, previous guests had stained it and the stains could not be removed. We have now ordered a new one which should be delivered shortly.

Beautiful, comfortable flat bathed in sunlight

My daughter and I stayed in this apartment for 10 days. We enjoyed every moment. From the minute we arrived, there was someone to help us settle. Basic irems had been provided such as bread, milk tea and coffee and the owner answered all our queries very promptly and efficiently. We will be back.

Elegant Flat in amazing location - highly recommend

Stayed for 5 nights March 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of the unit and it's very walkable location. Right away it felt like home and provided a relaxing and comfortable base.

Can't say enough about Patricia's promptness in answering messages & organizing the flat so I could check in same day. She also kindly provided a bottle of wine, milk & juice. There are also coffee capsules for the Krups as well as dish detergent, laundry etc.

The bed is very comfortable, quality linens & pillows and is at the back of the unit facing a courtyard/gardens. Quiet & perfect for sleep. Adequate storage space to unpack and store luggage.

Kitchen & bathroom are modern & updated. Both stocked with basics. i.e. soap, shampoo..

Loved the heritage details of the moldings and high ceilings the unit feels very spacious.

Enjoyed nearby restaurants: Candella Tea Room for tea & sweets, Kensington Wine Rooms all within 5 min walk.

Easy walking access to Portobello Rd Market/Notting Hill. One day walked to Marylebone and Oxford street and back. Hyde & Holland parks around the corner, this is an excellent location to explore from. Westfield London Shopping Center also walkable or by bus .

As mentioned in a previous review there are a couple flights of stairs to keep in mind given luggage situation.

There was renovation activity at nearby properties, however it it silent on wknds & weekdays doesn't commence til 8AM or later. During our stay only a few of the flats in the building were occupied so it was extremely quiet. The front street is also quiet with minimal through traffic.

Patricia is a wonderful host & her flat is exactly as stated & shown in an excellent location. Would definitely return.

Kensington Warmth

My partner and I stayed in this lovely apartment for three nights at the end of February. The 'Beast from the East' was sweeping into London that week, with snow storms blanketing the streets. Patricia and Gerard's place was a little haven of warmth and coziness amongst it all. Only a quick walk away from shops, tube lines and Kensington Palace, this apartment was perfect for our stay in London.

Delightful home away from Australia

What a great little apartment to spend two busy weeks in london in February ! Not once did I feel the cold in this very cosy and charming little home ! After a busy day of walking and sight seeing and of course the obligatory clothes shopping it was so easy to return via one of the easy tube stations or buses back to Brunswick Gardens .Very comfortably fitted out with all that you could require to cook with ,or to visit Wholefoods only a short walk away in Kensington High Street it was just like being a local .

Lots of wonderful places to eat in such a small radius , my favourite being the Ivy at Kensington .

Thank you Patricia for always being available to communicate with regarding the cleaning and or the arrival and departing the apartment.

A rather special time in this little place for me in London. I certainly hope it will be there to return to soon in the future

Our apartment is located in one of the streets running parallel to Kensington Palace. You will be there in minutes. Ideal if you like going running in the morning as Kensington Gardens are just around the corner.

In addition, the property is only 10 minutes walk away from Portobello Market. You will love going there on Saturday morning to try and find the perfect little piece of antique to take home with you or shop for fruit and veg. for lunch or dinner any day of the week.
