Our apartment is located in one of the finest streets of Kensington, within easy walking distance of Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill and Portobello market.
In the spring, the cherry blossom trees are amazingly beautiful and you can enjoy them from the balcony whilst sipping a glass of wine and having a few nibbles . Sitting out on the balcony is a great way to unwind after a hard day's site seeing or shopping with much to see and do on your doorstep and a number of Tube stations only a few minutes away.
We have tried to both keep the original features of the apartment ( cornices, fireplace, window shutters ) and create a relaxing, modern feel to the place through our choice of colours, furniture and pictures. TV, Wifi, and a selection of books, CDs and DVDs will hopefully also help you relax and unwind in the evening.
The main bedroom has a large double bed which can be converted into two single beds if required. A comfortable sofa bed in the lounge can be quickly prepared and the apartment can therefore accommodate four people without difficulty.
We have lived in London for over 30 years and we have 3 children, twin girls aged 28 and a boy aged 21.
We have a number of other properties in London and Paris and are pleased to welcome back many of our guests year after year.
Gerard and Patricia purchased this apartment in 2000
We decided to buy this property because we always liked the street and thought that it would be an ideal base for us should we ever decide to move out of London .
As things turned out, we are still living in London , not far from Brunswick Gardens , which means we are well-placed to ensure that your stay is enjoyable and problem-free.
There are very few apartments so well located in such a prime Central London location.
The street is quiet and calm and has great charm.
We had a wonderful week long stay at this charming, very well located flat. The flat was lovely, clean and well maintained. One thing I look for is storage and this has great closet space so you could unpack and put everything away. So nice not to have to live out of a suitcase. Bed was very comfortable. The bath also has very good storage for all of my "stuff", a deep drawer, large mirrored cabinet and shelves. Plus the bath was very nice with plenty of towels. We loved the big windows in the spacious living area. The kitchen was also very well stocked with all the basics. The flat has a very modern, fresh feel to it. Wifi worked great, too.
We loved the quiet neighborhood, but just a few minutes walk to lots of activity. Two well linked tube stops very nearby-we never took a cab. There is a Sainsbury grocery and a Marks and Spensers Food Hall very close and we did think to bring our own tote which we just kept with us. We ate dinner in the neighborhood each night. Lots of choices. Portobello Ristaurante (wonderful Italian), Kensington Place (fresh fish from the market next door) Hillgate Pub, Black and Blue and several others.
Patricia was very easy to work with and always answered my email questions very promptly. We arrived before the 4:00 check in, but were able to drop our bags off and got the key from the very nice cleaning lady. Patricia met us later for an apartment "tutorial". My husband and I highly recommend this lovely flat.
My husband and I had a great experience in London because of staying in this beautiful apartment. We felt like real "Londoners" eating and shopping in this lovely neighborhood. The apartment was modern, well kept, clean, and had a super comfortable bed!
I enjoyed my stay so much I extended it by three days. Every thing about the flat and location exceeded my expectations. The owners were lovely. I would definitely come back!
Patricia is professional, easy to contact and work with. Will definitely return!
We have just returned from a wonderful 10 days in Patricia's apartment .
Very well appointed in a delightfully quiet tree lined street within a stones throw of Kensington Palace and all the fabulous places to eat in Nottinghill. and Kensington .
Although cold when we arrived into London , in fact snowing which was truly gorgeous after arriving from an extremely hot Sydney ,,, the apartment was warm and cosy . Every day after our travels we would return to our warm place to sit and relax with a wine before deciding where we would go for our evening dinner .
Definitely looking forward to returning in summer to see the tree lined street and enjoy a glass of Rose on the little terrace .
An easy place to call home on your holiday to London !
My wife and I have a goal to live in a different city every year for a month. We wanted to start with London and Kensington and found this wonderful little flat on a quiet street. It was perfect and has everything you might need. Patricia is a delight and made sure we were comfortable and looked after. The month went by fast but having this well located refuge really helped us to enjoy the experience. Lots of pubs, coffee, restaurants and wine and grocery stores near by. Be sure to try the Shed (Farm to Restaurant), Babylon, Ivy and more. Hyde Park is perfect for a coffee while you watch the world go by.
Our apartment is located in one of the streets running parallel to Kensington Palace. You will be there in minutes. Ideal if you like going running in the morning as Kensington Gardens are just around the corner.
In addition, the property is only 10 minutes walk away from Portobello Market. You will love going there on Saturday morning to try and find the perfect little piece of antique to take home with you or shop for fruit and veg. for lunch or dinner any day of the week.
