A beautiful 1 bedroomed beach apartment with magnificent uninterupted views across the bay, sleeps 2 adults ( plus 2 small children maximum)
These two apartments are situated in a lovely Mediterranean cove on the south side of Collioure and have magnificent unrestricted views across the bay. The cove is a paradise for swimming, diving, and snorkelling or just relaxing on the beach. You will fall asleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks below. There are two beaches on the residence which offer the possibility of an early morning swim or an evening dip before dinner on the terrace. The apartments are 20 minutes walk to the centre of Collioure where you will be spoilt for choice with the range of restaurants, cafes and art galleries, a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. 15 mins walk takes you into historic Port Vendres established in 6BC and home of the famous fish market and great restaurants. The apartment has a space in the communal lock-up garage. An electronic key is provided.

My partner and I have just spent a wonderful week in Collioure at L'Oreneta. The property was in a quiet location and exactly as described. John was very helpful and we would be happy to recommend this apartment to anyone. The apartment is compact and well equipped and was clean on arrival. Although listed as Collioure, and within the town boundary, it is a good walk into the town and in fact nearer to Port Vendres. We didn’t have a car and walked everywhere, which was very enjoyable for us. Taxis are pretty well non existent. The local bus service along the coast to Perpignan through Argeles is a real bargain at one Euro per person. We slept in the lounge on the sofa bed most nights, as it was so hot.... and listening to the sea lapping outside was a real treat. There is an abundance of restaurants in both towns, so you will not be spoilt for choice and there is a supermarket 5 minutes walk away towards Port Vendres. The whole area is very pretty and the sunsets are stunning. Both towns have their own charm and beauty. If there is a negative point, then we missed having a toaster from the otherwise well stocked kitchen... and Julie (who is always accident prone) managed to get stung by a jellyfish whilst swimming! Otherwise it was a wonderful holiday. Thank you!
Great views from the balcony just 5 metres or so from the rocks ( second floor ). We where 4 for a couple of days and we could all sit and eat while enjoying the view. Nice welcome from Sheila her self. Well equipped, everything you need is there, and it all worked. Wifi worked well. Midway between Collioure and Port Vendres, both 15-20 minutes walk and short walk to Lidl supermarket. Two small beaches close by. Both not too crowded. We'll be going back.
An OK apartment with a great sea view. Photographs were misleading because they don't convey the smallness of the apartment or the actual layout of the furniture. However, if you aren't going to spend much time inside it's adequate. Disappointed to find that the bed wasn't made on our arrival (even though Sheila herself was there to greet us), and it must be said that the Wi-Fi was irritatingly slow and intermittent.
I rented the apartment to take my parents away (it was my mums 82 birthday). What a lovely surprise when we arrived to find a little card of a local town and a bottle of champagne as a present for mum.
We were greeted by Remi, the housekeeper who was on time, knowledgeable and really helpful.
The apartment isn't huge but compact and well designed with everything you need for a perfect stay (lots of little extras including sewing kit, spare bulbs) little touches and well thougt out.
The local information was great - transport, places to visit, recommended restaurants etc.
And what a view - you are literally on top of the sea, the sound of the waves is just so relaxing, the view outstanding - dad just sat on the balcony with his binoculars looking at boats, birds, divers and having a great time.
Plenty of parking too.
Had a wonderful stay- thank you.
The apartment is exactly as described and is perfect for a relaxing holiday. It is lovely and clean and the whole complex has a really nice relaxed feel to it, it's quiet but everyone says hello as they pass each other. The beach is minutes away and is ideal for swimming and snorkelling and when we were there never had more than about 20 people on it. We were only ever inside to sleep and shower as the balcony is perfect to eat on and we sat outside every night listening to the sea and watching the boats coming in as it went dark. Collioure is equally relaxed and the waiters are far more tolerant of our school french than anywhere else we have been! We travel down to France twice a year and this is the first resort we have been to that we would definately return to.
We had a fantastic holiday in Collioure. The appartment was exactly what we were looking for, clean, compact and well equipped. We have visited the town many times and have to say that this apartment was the best we've been to, mostly because we could park our soft-top car in a covered carpark. Parking has always been a problem in all the other places we stayed in Collioure, usually entailing a long with with heavy shopping.
The town is a delight with lots of nooks and crannies. The list of recommended restaurants provided by the owner was invaluable and we even tried some places that we had never been to before. This apartment is right on the sea front with a beach at the side of it. I will be booking back into this apartment next year.
Collioure, is a beautiful, ancient and atmospheric town built around the medieval castle and port. Picasso, Matisse and Derain painted here. When you have experienced the quality of the light you will realise why. Visit the vineyards and taste the local wines. Stroll around the harbour and sit at one of the restaurants or cafes and enjoy the views, people watching and local artists at work. Visit the medieval castle. Soak up the history and the superb views from the battlements. Equally rewarding is a stroll around the harbour at Port Vendres which is a busy commercial, fishing and yacht harbour. A visit to the superb fish market is a must as are the restaurants. Port Vendres has been a busy harbour since 6BC. Motor boat trips are good or try a day out on the traditional sailing schooner Treguern including barbecue lunch and a swim in a secluded Spanish cove. Nearby includes:Cathar Castles, Dali Museums at Figueres and Cadaques, medieval Girona, Barcelona, medieval city of Carcasonn
Other Activities: Art galleries, guided visits
