We have owned houses in Seven Devils for 25 years, spend Spring and Summer there and winters in Orlando area.
Bill Diercksen purchased this cabin in 2005
We own home two doors away, watched the cabin being build, knew the original owner who only used it on weekends, they had beautifully landscaped it. It had never been in the rental market when we bought it.
We are nearby to handle problems and have a full time resident providing security and maintenance when we are not in town.
We stayed for 1 week in Eagles Nest with my family. We all loved the cabin. Barry, the caretaker, was very helpful. The cabin is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever stayed. The view was excellent, and located close to Hawksnest Tubing. The kitchen had all supplies needed, everything in working order. The wireless internet was fast and reliable. Bill, the owner, was very helpful and accommodating to our dates. Overall its an excellent cabin.
My family and I (military) were invited to the Eagles Rest by the owners and had a wonderful visit at 7 Devils. We stayed 7 days and visited most of the sites along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was incredibly helpful in helping my family and I to escape the military environment and relax after multiple combat deployments. I would recommend this cabin to anyone that needs to escape the daily rigors or a high demand job.
This cabin has all you could ask for.
perfect for our family. the owners are a delight to work with and very available if we had any concerns.
I would highly suggest staying at this cabin, and I am sure we will return.
We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday at this cabin and it was wonderful. Love the fireplace. The beds were very comfortable and there was extra room to have an air mattress for extra sleeping space in the loft. The view from the porch is truly amazing. The wildlife in the yard humored us every day. The owners were very pleasant and just a phone call away to any questions we had or to help us with finding some where locally. We spent 9 days there and each day was wonderful. I recommend this cabin to anyone looking to enjoy the sites, relaxing, fishing and the view that we don't get to see in Charleston SC. One small tip though about the location of the cabin.....I don't recommend that you drive a dually (very big) truck. Very tight turns that are too sharp for a vehicle of this nature.
We just got back from a wonderful vacation in Seven Devils, NC. We stayed here at the Eagles Rest. This cabin was amazing. It was very clean and inviting. It had everything we needed and then some!! The owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet, and it was a pleasure doing business with them. There was so much to do in the area that we didn't have time to do it all. This is a place that we you won't want to leave, and definitely a cabin that you will want to return to.
My wife and I had stayed with friends in the past in the area and decided we wanted to rent a place for ourselves for a month. After doing our homework on VRBO and several telephone calls with Bill & Elaine (the owners of the rental) we secured their cabin for this past August. The cabin was as represented and all we really needed to bring was our toothbrushes...it not only met our expectations but exceeded them as well. Our children and grandchildren, several who suffer from animal allergies (making their NO PET policy an absolute must for us), had a wonderful time with our youngest son and his wife experiencing the Zipline. Bill and Elaine are wonderful hosts and we appreciated their warm hospitality in introducing us to Seven Devils...so much in fact that we have secured their place for next summer.
